Sometimes less is enough.
This statement applies in many ways to this great fragrance.
When you look at the list of notes, you can quickly get through the reading. "Only" six notes are listed in the pyramid, and this fact piqued my interest in Bullet.
I wanted to know how a fragrance with these few (great) ingredients smells and how it performs. It was not a mistake.

The scent remains quite linear throughout its duration and quickly reveals all its facets. While the heart and base notes provide the necessary spice and slight sweetness, the mandarin and lavender lightly refresh the fragrance. This creates a beautiful, in my opinion, masculine scent that is simply pleasing and (for lack of a better word) mass-appealing.

You neither stand out particularly with this fragrance, nor does it clash greatly. It is simply a high-quality, wearable everyday scent for any occasion, except on very hot days.

And I think that is exactly what makes it so special, as it brings an incredible value without any disturbing factors. No intrusive presence, no stinging, and no scratching. The longevity is definitely noticeable; I could still smell it after 15 hours.

I rated the sillage a 10 because I was actually approached about the scent after 10 hours. That doesn’t happen often. At the same time, it doesn’t overpower spaces and doesn’t annoy those around you; it is simply well perceivable.

My conclusion:
If you are looking for a high-quality, woody-fresh fragrance with a slight sweetness, you will probably get your money's worth here. Try it out and feel free to share your impressions in the comments; I am very curious.

A Worthy Successor
In the year 2018, in France shaped by history and tradition, a king named Ombre Nomade ascended his throne. Majestic, proud, and unshakeable, he began to gather his followers around him and watched over the people who loved him so dearly with an unwavering presence, which he had also held just as dearly in his heart.

His fame grew steadily, albeit initially only in certain small circles. Not long after, I had the honor of meeting the king during a small audience. I was captivated by him and his reign. Thus, I began to painstakingly create my own throne within my four walls so that I could always have the king by my side.

For a long time, everything seemed to be in perfect order. I proved my loyalty to the king, often taking him with me on my travels, and I delighted in his aura, his untamed power, and his dominance over his rivals every single time. For he undoubtedly had that.

But one day, when I decided to refresh the king's elixir of life, I was struck unexpectedly right in the face. I quickly realized: The king had lost strength and intensity. Undoubtedly, he remained graceful, but the king had aged too quickly, and I sensed that our time together was now severely limited, which tightened my throat.

After a long search, I finally found an elixir from earlier times for my king, which brought him back to his feet and restored his former power. A great relief spread within me, albeit clouded by the thought that this life water would also run out and the king's life would come to an end.

One day, I once again entered the artistic palace. Secluded from the rest of the world, I observed wonderful figures with their elixirs day after day, read a lot, and tested a few. Some were graceful and meant a lot to me, some were almost entirely unexplored, and others had simply been forgotten over time.

In the main hall, I looked at the newcomers, and something immediately caught my eye. Mada, as the newcomer was called, actually had a similar elixir to my king. While this was not unusual, I held the creator in high regard. So, I mustered my courage and requested a meeting.

The first moments with Mada were tumultuous. His presence felt impetuous, almost exhausting, with a sharp, medicinal note that swept through the halls like a storm. Saffron and jasmine stood by his side, closely connected, and in the background, a leather note emerged, soaked in raspberry, that pushed forward relentlessly. It seemed as if Mada wanted to challenge the king with all his might.

But Ombre Nomade, the king himself, remained unshaken. With his head held high, majestic and calm, he faced Mada. He opened a bottle of his precious oud - an elixir of deepest density and perfect harmony - but his true arsenal was far greater. Saffron, which always wove like a golden thread through all the notes in his scent, intensified the sharpness of the oud, while jasmine unfolded subtle floral clearings between the dark, smoky notes. The leather of his royal fragrance felt soft yet unyielding, enveloped by warm woods and a fine raspberry sweetness that tamed even the wildest storms.

Mada pushed and stormed, his energy wild and impetuous, but Ombre Nomade responded with sovereign calm. Every step, every gesture, every breath unfolded the harmony of his fragrance notes: The oud organized the intensity, the saffron added fire, the leather provided stability, the raspberry sweetness, jasmine lightness, and the warm woods connected everything into an unshakeable tapestry of power and elegance.

Hour after hour, this sensual duel swayed. Mada displayed fire and strength, but Ombre Nomade maintained the upper hand. His scent was a whole arsenal, an orchestrated play of contrasts that harmoniously absorbed every attack from Mada. Even the initial sting of the medicinal accent became part of an orchestrated whole that obeyed the king.

As the heat of the battle subsided, Mada realized that he had not been overwhelmed but guided. The king had not imposed a defeat upon him but had tested him, showing him that true strength lies not only in pushing forward but in mastery, in wisdom, in the harmony of elements - and in the patience of the master.

Then the king raised his hand, not in anger, but in recognition, and spoke:
“You did not rise against me, Mada, but proved yourself at my side. Your fire is strength, your path a trial. As long as my time lasts, you will walk by my side. And when the day comes that my elixir runs dry and my realm demands a new ruler, I will hand over my throne to you without hesitation. For in you, I have not found an opponent, but my successor.”

Dear Mr. Al Qasim, you have truly accomplished a magnificent feat here. You have not dethroned my beloved king, ON, for which I am extremely grateful due to our years of relationship. Rather, you have created a worthy successor, a prince who will fit well on my shelf and will be used more often until he can one day claim the place of the king as his own.

My heartfelt thanks for this very successful and worthy work of art.

The fragrance opens with very strong citrus notes, sour, zesty, and refreshing. The blend of champagne and grapefruit harmonizes so well together that I find it difficult to articulate differences from other citrus scents. However, this creation offers a special moment and leaves you wanting more.
Next, a light rose emerges, subtly remaining in the background. In combination with the pear and clove, it adds a slight sweetness to the fragrance progression, thus softening the opening of champagne and grapefruit a bit.
I can't distinctly pick out the woods and incense. As the fragrance develops further and becomes beautifully soft towards the end, I believe these contribute to a rounded finish.

When I first smelled this fragrance, the word rich came to mind. And with this word, I am not referring to money or material wealth, but rather rich in positive energy, joy, life experience, warmth, and happiness. I imagine a lady of advanced age who embodies exactly these qualities. A woman who is successful in her job, confident, and full of drive as she goes through life. But she also knows how to let things slide, is empathetic, and approachable.
The fragrance radiates elegance, warmth, and good cheer for me, and that’s probably why I associate the scent with this image of a person. The fragrance is a piece of a harmonious world, although it is not the scent itself that creates this. Rather, it is the wearer who embodies all of this, and the fragrance gives expression to that personality.

I am not particularly good at assigning fragrances to specific groups of people, nor do I wish to. However, the description in the paragraph above is what I thought of while wearing the fragrance, and I have tried to put my thoughts and feelings into words to describe the effect of Dom Rosa Millésimé as I perceive it. I hope it wasn't too confusing. :-)

the perfect summer companion
The fragrance starts with a beautiful orange note, which can initially feel a bit overwhelming.
However, jasmine and lily of the valley quickly join in and soften the orange note.
The rose is only faintly detectable for me and remains very much in the background.

Later on, the musk comes to the forefront. Personally, I notice an animalic note in the musk, which is enveloped by light woody notes. I really like this because the musk note is very noticeable, yet the scent remains clean and fresh. The longevity and sillage are above average, and due to the freshness and the beautiful floral notes, no one in the office has complained. One should just be very careful when spraying in enclosed spaces. ;-)

In my eyes, it is truly a masterful work of art, and I will definitely be getting it for next summer.

A New Generation
Tom Ford's Oud Wood holds a special value in my life. On one hand, it's because I truly love the DNA, and on the other hand, it's also because I found my way into the world of perfume through OW.

When I randomly took the small sample out of my box today, the name of the perfume alone piqued my curiosity. A quick look at Parfumo immediately revealed to me that it must be a similar scent direction to OW. And indeed, that was the case. The fragrance has very strong parallels to my beloved TF, however, it starts off a whole lot more aggressive and zesty. The sillage and longevity are also not comparable to OW.

After a few minutes, a wonderful image spread in my mind. When thinking of TF, I briefly envisioned an older person. Still present, powerful, protective, and with a vast knowledge that he loves to share with the world. However, he is also marked by his sufferings, which often require him to take a break from everyday life; he lacks a bit of energy.
On the other hand, there stands a young person, ready to absorb the knowledge of the older individual, but refreshing it with something modern, giving it a direction forward, putting more energy into actions, and showing the world that he is here, that he is present.

Initio with Oud For Greatness has also tried to achieve what this fragrance has accomplished in my eyes (in my nose ;-) ), but I find this one to be even more powerful.

So, anyone who can appreciate TF OW should definitely give this fragrance a try. I'm sure you will like it.
