We're talking about the goat
Not much to say, this one is the GOAT.
I don’t care if your GOAT is Ronaldo or Messi.
Kobe or Jordan.
Or Schumacher (because yes you're right, he is the GOAT).
When it comes to fragrances, this is it.
It’s rich, clean, powdery, and sweet, all at the same time. Effortless in the best way possible.
For some reason, it makes me feel low-key like James Bond every time I wear it. And that elegance comes from the blend of tobacco leaves and tuberose… or is it the amber?
Yes. It’s the amber.
If you’re looking for a scent that perfectly represents quiet luxury, this is the way to go. It smells like young aristocracy in a bottle, and I completely understand why everyone loves it (the scent not aristocrats)
.
Longevity and sillage are quite good, but the real highlight is the evolution. The way this fragrance develops over time is genuinely impressive.
Fun fact: Clive Christian is the only brand allowed to use the Queen’s crown on their bottle cap.
Haters gonna hate
I’m honestly not sure why this fragrance gets so much hate. For a Montale release, this is definitely one of the better ones, no doubt about it.
And it’s not even overhyped.
Most of the hype crowd you see - groups of young guys walking into fragrance stores, debating which Montale or Mancera to buy so they can tell their later friends “Bro, niche is insane, I get only compliments”, they don’t even look at Starry Nights.
So yes, it’s absolutely worth giving this one a shot.
Now, about the scent itself.
It’s hard to describe what my nose is actually picking up. It feels like not much and everything at the same time. One thing is clear though: it’s sweet. But beyond that, there’s a whole story unfolding. From the first spray to several hours later, different notes come forward, fade away, and reappear. It keeps evolving.
I also wouldn’t call it a heavy fragrance. For some reason, it even feels refreshing to me.....maybe that’s the apple note doing its thing.
Completely underrated. Definitely worth testing. And honestly? Could even be a blind buy.
One cherry martini por favor
I got this scent as a sample, because a friend of mine wore it once. I asked him of a sample because this scent was insane. And insane good price too.
For this price you get a very potent, date scent (which should do the job).
Something with that scent reminds me of Christmas but I still think it's pretty good wearable also in summer nights.
In my humble opinion, this scent has not like a really a complex story behind itself, it doesn't try to be someone it shouldn't be. Just a straight up people pleaser.
It's your cherry scent if you think Tom Ford is overhyped (you're right).
I would say the L/S is okay too.
Don't ask me what they mean with "Wet" tho.
Not so sure
I literally have no strong feelings about this fragrance, which, of course, isn’t a bad thing.
Still, I’m torn.
At first glance, it feels like a great scent for office settings. But at the same time… it doesn’t??
Let me explain. To my nose, it opens fresh, slightly fruity, and clean - exactly the kind of profile I usually prefer for an office fragrance. That part works very well.
However, once the earthy and woody notes of patchouli and oakmoss come into play, it starts giving me a different image: the 60-year-old boss who doesn’t quite understand where professional boundaries with way younger new colleague should be.
I’m honestly not sure what to make of it. Maybe I’m too young for this scent, or maybe the scent itself is too old for me.
I still wear it occasionally, sometimes even to the office, but there’s always this slightly uneasy feeling that comes with it.
If I’m completely honest: if you’re looking for an office fragrance and you still care about value for money (unlike many people here), this one should definitely be on your list to try.
Should we gatekeep?
In 2024 I was - like everybody else - on a adventurous search to find the holy grail in cherry scents.
There where a couple, I think the release of the new TF Cherry scents back fired the hype train up.
So was I on a search, and I found.
The L/S is okay, nothing to brag about, but also not bad!!
But the scent it self is great, it creamy & fruity - and everybody around you will love that. Its a people pleaser.
Also I wouldn't describe it as the usual cherry scent. Its reminds me of a cherry-rum-cake type situation.
Wear this scent on dates, but please not in the office. In case you want to get your promotion the one way or another, wear that scent in office.
One of the biggest plus - it's not a viral scent. And if I am right, still pretty difficult to find in every store.
