The Better Joop Homme
I'll keep it short:

The "Joop! Homme (Eau de Parfum) | Joop!" is like a deep, grown-up version of the "Joop! Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Joop!" . The cherry is no longer as sweet and a hazelnut has been added to the top. An absolute blind buy recommendation on my part, especially for fans of the original.

Lasting power and sillage are relatively the same as the EDT, at least for me.
It works particularly well in winter and also earns the odd compliment.
However, it should be noted that it also carries the typical synthetic Joop DNA.

Still a great fragrance :)

My first
The first love... that's exactly what "Joop! Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Joop!" is for me.
My father wore this fragrance a lot back then, so much so that you could smell it through the door. But enough stories.

Joop Homme is synthetic, cherry and sweet. Unfortunately, it is no longer the beast it once was, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Among perfume fanatics, it is often considered "overused", and even if that is true, it still doesn't smell like it has fallen out of time.
I still get compliments, my wife loves it and the price/performance ratio is great.
But I'm digressing again.

Although cherry is not listed in the pyramid, it is undoubtedly the main note. The fragrance DNA is super seductive, but suffers from its synthetic nature. Even though this will probably mainly bother us perfume lovers and not the "average nose".

To sum up: seductive cherry with a lot of synthetics. The "Joop! Homme (Eau de Parfum) | Joop!" is the better, more grown-up version in my opinion.
But still an absolute blind buy for the money.

Small spoiler: WOW!

As it is listed here as a women's fragrance, I was skeptical for a long time as to whether it was too feminine for me. After wearing it extensively for a week, I can say that I was wrong.

This sweet, seductive rose paired with this light oud undertone is simply unbelievably good. Amethyst is perfect for newcomers to the "oud world".
I am currently collecting compliments with it like children collect their football stickers.
The drydown is quite linear (which is by no means a bad thing in this case).
It lasts for around 10-12 hours on my skin. The sillage is also really good, so that I am always and everywhere noticed quite quickly.

As usual with Lattafa, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. So unbeatable, in fact, that you wonder how houses like Tom Ford justify their pricing.

The bottle is also very high quality and beautiful, even if the inspiration is obvious. I don't know the original from Initio and therefore can't draw any comparisons in the fragrance.

I would like to finish as I started:

WOW!
