Is pretty much exactly what it should be...
...I can't answer whether it is what it claims to be. I don't know "Haltane | Parfums de Marly", but I am an avowed "Oud for Greatness | Initio" fan. Eco doesn't have much in common with it.

The fragrance starts fresh, bergamot and lavender come out clearly, almost fougere. Gradually, saffron and oud and a sweet note become more and more present. All very synthetic but not pungent. In terms of quality, it is in no way inferior to "Bade'e Al Oud - Oud for Glory | Lattafa / لطافة" and "Supremacy in Oud | Afnan Perfumes", but it is the first (that I know of) replica of Haltane. This is often touted as a more wearable version of the OFG. To each his own.

After about 2 hours of wear, the freshness is completely gone, leaving the familiar sweet saffron/oud mixture in the air. The fresh aspects make it a good alternative to the other two cheapies. The whole thing then lasts quite a while and is very present with 2 test sprays on the hand.

In my opinion, the bottle and sprayer have been improved compared to "Détour Noir | Al Haramain / الحرمين" and appear somewhat more sophisticated, but are still very special.

Overall, quite a nice fragrance, but not special enough to have it in the collection in addition to one of the above. I'll stick with the OFG myself.

This one may go on.

The one Lattafa fragrance that convinced.
Short history, feel free to skip (HERE is the fragrance description) I have tested and owned some Lataffa, "Bade'e Al Oud - Oud for Glory | Lattafa / لطافة" , "Bade'e Al Oud - Honor & Glory / بديع العود | Lattafa / لطافة" , "Nasheet | Lattafa / لطافة" , "Eternal Oud | Lattafa / لطافة" and "Atlas / اطلس | Lattafa / لطافة" !

I liked them all. Good quality, great (extravagant) OVP, good prices, often close to the original. But none of them stayed, something annoyed me in the end or, as with "Oud for Greatness | Initio", drew me to the original. I still have a positive opinion of Lattafa and I'm always alert when new hypes emerge.

I missed the "Imagination | Louis Vuitton" hype for a long time. At some point, I came across a 30 ml bottle via a sharing and fell in love. i emptied 30 ml and reordered another 30 ml. Always at fair prices and in these beautiful little mini LV bottles. I don't go along with the moon prices for remaining bottles. There are hardly any alternatives. The "Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (Eau de Parfum) | Zara" is a good Cheapie with a distant relationship but not nearly as good.

HERE: The "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة" is different. Now to the point: the fragrance opens citrically sharp, has something of washing-up liquid. I was about to wash it off and give this Lattafa back. But then, after about 10-15 minutes, this typical Imagination aura develops. Tea, cinnamon, bergamot and ambroxan. It then becomes very similar to the original. A little fresher, a little more cinnamon but much closer than the Zara. Really beautifully realized, albeit with a note of its own. I don't get any incense here, but it does bring a certain warmth to the base. It also arrives quite quickly. The H/S is comparable to the original, perhaps a little weaker. I was able to perceive the fragrance well for 2-3 hours, then it remains close to the skin for some time.

I bought the fragrance too expensive. At the original price, it is an absolute no-brainer for Imagiantion fans on a tight budget. At the current price, I would try it first.

OVP is typically Lattafa outstanding, the bottle is (once again) a matter of taste. I don't like it, but the sprayer is good and the OVP is quite respectable.

It's convincing and can stay. The "Imagination | Louis Vuitton" will probably not move in with me again.

Marrakech as a scented candle from FlyingTiger
I visited Morocco this year in May. Take a look at my review of "№ 02 - L'Air du Désert Marocain (Eau de Toilette Intense) | Tauer Perfumes". For me, the absolute blueprint in terms of olfactory interpretation of this wonderful city.

Let's move on to Herbert Stricker's interpretation and a little spoiler, it can't compete with Tauer's.

The fragrance starts with a very fresh, real mint and orange. This is also the most exciting thing about the fragrance. It has something of Japanese medicinal plant oil. Shortly afterwards, the spices are added. It is not necessarily possible to interpret them individually, but cinnamon comes out most clearly. At this stage, the fragrance really smells like a Christmas scented candle. Not a great high-quality candle, more like one from FlyingTiger or NanuNana. What a shame.

Little here reminds me of the spice souks in Morocco. Only in the drydown does it come back in that direction, the woods then come out better. What I completely miss is the florality. Cistus, oleander, daisies, all that is missing.

The tonka, vanilla, musk combination that we have smelled so often remains in the base.

Not a bad perfume overall, not at all. The opening in particular is creative, but the theme is missed.

Longevity is great, the fragrance stays on the skin for 8-10 hours. Sillage is okay, not a room filler, but a nice cloud.

Ambivalence in the bottle, the CEO with make-up box
The CEO-DUFT, so spoke our perfume prophet JF, before his psychosis.

Heard, bought. Job interview in the middle of the Corona peak phase, February 2021, shortly before starting my master's thesis on teams, job for the next 2-3 years. I was correspondingly nervous and excited. So I put on my scent generously, put on my jacket and went in front of the camera. Boy did I feel good. Not like a CEO, but confident and assured. 2 intense hours later, it was over. But the Dior was beaming and beaming, long after the interview was over and with such a force that I got a headache. Plus the make-up box association. Not mine, I thought.

Got the job, sold Dior. It served its purpose. That was it.

Until I tested the Intense by chance this summer. Boa even more make-up, but somehow cool. So, second try with the perfume. And thank goodness I ordered a bottle straight away. My perception has changed completely. The powder is still there, but I perceive the leather accord and the woody drydown differently. Now my daily driver in the office. I love the fragrance more than anything. No headaches, no carnival. Simply an incredibly brilliant designer and in my top 3. Whether it's because of my developed nose, whether the fragrance I bought from Dior in 2021 wasn't ready yet or whatever. It doesn't matter. It stays.

About the fragrance:
Powdery, leathery opening. Warm wood and leather in the drydown. It creates an elegance and grandeur. It is not just pleasing, but has rough edges. For me, it fits perfectly in the office. It's not a beast, but it's present and long-lasting. I would say it is easily perceptible for a good 4-6 hours, but easily lasts 8-10 hours on the skin and clothing

Not a blind buy candidate. But if you like the iris cousins a la Valentino, Givenchy, Intense and co. you have found the king of its kind here.

Royal sandalwood or generic compliment catcher
This creation promises a royal ode to sandalwood - a promise that will be difficult to keep. Let's take a look at it:

The course of events:
In the opening, Santal Royal begins with a cloud of rose, peach, synthetic oud and something floral. The cloud hits the nose powerfully and fills the room. After 5-10 minutes, everything settles down, the fragrance comes to rest and sorts itself out. What remains is a creamy, almost powdery, rose-oud mantle that you have smelled many times before.

After 1-2 hours, the Santal Royal develops again, becoming warmer and deeper. At this stage, it seems very qualitative and more expensive than it is, almost royal ;)

After 6-7 hours it cools down noticeably. Some cold rose, the synthetic oud and musk remain. Here and there I can also detect peach. It stays like this on clothes for several days.

After spraying it on, my friend told me that I smelled like Christmas, which was great. In the office, the scent was also perceived positively, compliments guaranteed. A very pleasant perfume. Perfect for slowly entering the world of darker, "oudy" fragrances. It does the same thing as Oud-Wood, for example, but is richer thanks to the flowers and amber.

I see Santal Royal as a fragrance for special occasions, like a tuxedo or a little black dress.

Does it all sound great? True, but:
We don't get royal sandalwood here, questionable whether I even smell sandalwood. Wood yes, oud maybe. The fragrance becomes creamy, is it the sandalwood? I don't know.

We get a fragrance that works. A rose/oud fragrance with a twist. A nice fragrance, but not a must-have. It seems a little confused, especially in the opening, and can still be overwhelming later on.

It is worth its price. If you get it at a discount, the price-performance ratio is even very good. You should try it out, but most people won't mind a blind buy.

Regal greetings to the fragrant subjects.
