Imagination with a sharper top note
When my Imagination was empty and I wasn't ready to spend so much money on a fragrance again, I looked for similar scents and stumbled across the Art of Arabia I As it is considered similar here on Parfumo, I immediately ordered a bottling and tested it.

When it arrived, it was unpacked full of excitement and sprayed directly onto my wrist.
My first thought was: "It does smell like Imagination... only somehow "mintier" and "sharper."
The listed mint and ginger are certainly responsible for this, which makes the fragrance very fresh and a little spicy.
After a short time, the tea is added, closely followed by well-dosed incense and cinnamon.
A great combination that makes me think of Imagination from start to finish. However, the latter seems a little smoother and calmer to me.

It lasts a great 6-8 hours with a sillage that is very strong at the beginning and can definitely annoy those around you, but becomes calmer over time but is still easily perceptible.
The price here is currently under 50, which is absolutely brilliant!
Comparisons to Le Gemme - Tygar or Turathi (Blue) were also mentioned here...
I can understand that because these fragrances go in a similar direction, but for me the Art of Arabia I is clearly close to Imagination and therefore a great alternative for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on fragrances.

The one Lattafa fragrance that convinced.
Short history, feel free to skip (HERE is the fragrance description) I have tested and owned some Lataffa, Bade'e Al Oud - Oud for Glory , Bade'e Al Oud - Honor & Glory , Nasheet , Eternal Oud and Atlas !

I liked them all. Good quality, great (extravagant) OVP, good prices, often close to the original. But none of them stayed, something annoyed me in the end or, as with Oud for Greatness, drew me to the original. I still have a positive opinion of Lattafa and I'm always alert when new hypes emerge.

I missed the Imagination hype for a long time. At some point, I came across a 30 ml bottle via a sharing and fell in love. i emptied 30 ml and reordered another 30 ml. Always at fair prices and in these beautiful little mini LV bottles. I don't go along with the moon prices for remaining bottles. There are hardly any alternatives. The Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Eau de Parfum is a good Cheapie with a distant relationship but not nearly as good.

HERE: The Art of Arabia I is different. Now to the point: the fragrance opens citrically sharp, has something of washing-up liquid. I was about to wash it off and give this Lattafa back. But then, after about 10-15 minutes, this typical Imagination aura develops. Tea, cinnamon, bergamot and ambroxan. It then becomes very similar to the original. A little fresher, a little more cinnamon but much closer than the Zara. Really beautifully realized, albeit with a note of its own. I don't get any incense here, but it does bring a certain warmth to the base. It also arrives quite quickly. The H/S is comparable to the original, perhaps a little weaker. I was able to perceive the fragrance well for 2-3 hours, then it remains close to the skin for some time.

I bought the fragrance too expensive. At the original price, it is an absolute no-brainer for Imagiantion fans on a tight budget. At the current price, I would try it first.

OVP is typically Lattafa outstanding, the bottle is (once again) a matter of taste. I don't like it, but the sprayer is good and the OVP is quite respectable.

It's convincing and can stay. The Imagination will probably not move in with me again.

Luxurious herbal bath in the Dubai sun
I have been eagerly awaiting Lattafa's latest creation. The rumor mill has been churning for some time.
Should the Art of Arabia I be a damn good Imagination dupe, in top quality and at the usual charming price?

When I came to test it today and sprayed it on my skin, the first thing I thought was: It smells like lemon balm tea.
It had something homeopathic about it.

Slightly disconcerted and confused, I waited patiently for the top note to fade.
After a good half hour, it became more pleasant and softer. The sharpness of the ginger and mint subsided and a beautiful vetiver wood base emerged. The result was a strong citrus-wood symbiosis similar to that of Turathi (Blue).
From time to time there were also Imagination vibes, but overall I would see the Art of Arabia I more in the vicinity of Le Gemme - Tygar Turathi (Blue) or Al Qiam Silver.
A beautiful, masculine fragrance that takes a luxurious direction after the strange lemon balm bath salt infusion. One that is completely devoid of any sweetness.
It's not really suitable as an Imagination alternative, but it definitely works as an evening summer freshener.

In the end, however, it doesn't convince me across the board.
The longevity is rather lukewarm, while the sillage is mostly the top note. And I don't want to stand out as a medicinal herbal bath.
I already have the Turathi (Blue) so the Art of Arabia I won't be moving in with me.
Nevertheless, I'm sure it will find its fans.

Imagination with a twist
What can I say about this fragrance? For most people, it was immediately clear that this must be the next copy of LV Imagination. However, the pyramid offers a few differences that made me curious, so I had to get a bottling.
It arrived very quickly and I could hardly wait to test the fragrance.
Immediately after spraying it on, the Imagination Vibes naturally come to mind and the opening is simply very similar. I wouldn't compare it to Zara, it just smells much more artificial. But what is immediately noticeable is that everything is just a little more citrusy with a certain sharpness and freshness in the background. This comes first from the mint and later from the ginger. I only notice the lawendel very slightly, but the "sharp" freshness remains throughout. Cinnamon can only be guessed at in the drydown, the incense is simply more prominent here.
You can't help but be reminded of Imagination again and again. For me, the differences are simply due to the spiciness, a more citrusy DNA and the incense in the drydown, which gives the Art of Arabia I enough character traits of its own in my eyes.
The shelf life is okay and I would classify it as average Freshy.
Lattafa has once again delivered an interesting fragrance here, where price and quality are simply convincing.

No need to hide
When you first spray it on, you are met with a synthetic citrus note that is slightly pungent.
This develops over time after the ginger becomes noticeable and the tea note joins in the drydown.
For me, the fragrance is very pleasant to wear despite the pungent opening.
The longevity is good, but I would like more sillage.
Conclusion: you get a solid fragrance for your money.
