Solid 8/10
Initial spray is a wonderfully rich tobacco with a bubblegum smell alongside it and a vague scent of citrus rounding it off. Very unique! As it drys down, the oud comes more to the fore, it’s a creamy, Westernised, sweet oud, not an aggressive, overpowering one. The longevity and sillage is excellent, easily 8-10 hours. 8’s across the board for this one, with maybe an 8.5 for value. Really nice.

Stunning fragrance. Dreadful longevity.
I’ve sprayed this on three times now. The initial spray takes all the bitterness and sharp lemon, mint and lime and it awakens the senses in such a great way! I love how it then dries down to a slightly more complicated, almost muted fruity, woody fragrance. It’s simply wonderful! I adore it. Would I own it? Not a chance….. The longevity is as bad as I’ve known a fragrance to be. There isn’t even a remnant of this left on my skin inside three hours of application. Absolutely gutting, and for the price, unforgivable. You’d have to spent your whole time walking round with the bottle or a decant just to get you through the day!

UPDATE: Still love the fragrance, had to try and persevere with it. Tried it with some moisturiser and ISO E Super….. Game changing! Stayed on my skin for 10 hours! Bottle purchased!

Unique
I bought this today on the back of one spray from a sample bottle. I left it for an hour between spraying it and going back for the purchase and only in that short period of time, I went from liking it to disliking it and then back again. To say this is a unique scent is an understatement. It feels so incredibly refreshing but at the same time dark and almost sickly. It’s smells like decaying wood floating in the sea, but then immediately takes you to a paradise island surrounded by palm trees and a 24 hour concierge service! I have bought this not only because of how ground breaking it is (or was, when it first landed in the private blend) but that I think it’s going to be a game changer in the summer months. Oud has never really been my thing, Oud Wood is one of the most popular TF fragrances, but I despise it. Tobacco Oud is more palatable but again, not for me. This is going to be a slow burner, but one I look forward to persevering with.

Not a blind buy
From the first spray it is an intensely burning fire with amber, incense and spices. The pepper and spice seem more of a culinary twang than the usual blended olfactory smell. It lasts on the skin, it’s a very noticeable aroma. You will either like it or want to wash it off with a metal scrubbing pad! I think it has the potential to be that divisive.

As the hours go by it settles, but not by much. The intensity of the fire dies down but it is still very much there. I like the originality and I’m impressed by its development when on the skin, it’s just not my kind of scent and that is the only reason I wouldn’t buy it, a little too rough round the edges and incense-y for me, but will impress alot of people and quite rightly so.

UPDATE: I have now worn this 5 times and it has totally won me over. Next on my private blend list!

On the fence….
More F
*ing expensive than F
*ing Fabulous! There is no doubting that it is a well put together, lovely scent, that if money were no object, I’d own, but it’s just not quite unique enough or quite stand out enough to justify it when money IS an object!

I’ve heard horror stories on the longevity of the fragrance, but my two experiences with this scent are a perfectly respectable 8-10 hours, the sillage is average, but passable.

Again, another really good fragrance from my absolute favourite house, but could have done with being a little less one dimensional and linear for me at this price point.

One to ponder…..
