Yeah, this is a bad synthetic candle mess. I wouldn't mind smelling this as an ambiance candle, but I would never wear this on my skin. The beginning is a very saccharine, synthetic apple note. The apple is tart, fresh and bright, but overwhelmingly so which indicates an artifical/synthetic aspect to me. I'm sure I've smelled this somewhere while browsing candles at Winners. Dries down to a weird, synthetic vanilla paired with a slightly powdery tonka bean and a hint of synthetic caramel.

It's giving candle. Straight up candle. I'm pretty disappointed in Jousset as they're touting themselves as being a very gourmand brand, but all I've smelled up until now are poor blended fragrances at an exorbitant price, synthetic messes and scents that would be better smelled as a candle. This is a hard pass and I recommend you try 'em out before committing to a full bottle.

I definitely did not get the same experience as anyone here. Even though I did get a somewhat nice, but very fleeting accord made of milk and honeyed sweetness (although the vanilla was synthetic) at the tope, the rest was all downhill from there.

There's just a very weird woody / resinous / smoky / leathery, sour and acrid / bitter accord that rises on my skin and I just can't get with it. I have difficulties explaining what it is, why it is and how it is, but it's just so overhwelming and quite frankly off-putting for me. Bakhoor is probably the main culprit as I'm usually not that much of a fan of Middle Eastern type of resins / smoke / wood combos (and I just saw leather is also in there). The drydown is a bit more palatable although there's still a weird accord going on. It dries down more warm and a little bit more sweet caramel / vanilla milk-like, but I can't say I smelled any chocolate.

This is probably the worst out of all the Jousset I've tested up until now. Very off-putting and quite franky, disgusting. I don't like going for those adjectives for fragrances, but I had a very strong, visceral reaction to it when I smelled it on my skin. A hard pass for me.

I wouldn't say this is "delicious", but it is definitely giving dark and powdery. Cocoa, saffron and suede are the strongest notes on my skin, backed by some velvety (almost honey-like) immortelle and a slightly synthetic vanilla (not as bad as found in other Jousset's). Cocoa is powdery, dark and chocolate-like. Saffron is bitter and spicy, while suede has that deep, male-like quality to it. It's also sharp and reminds me of a sport's car interior kind of leather. As the fragrance moves on, the suede remains ever so strong on my skin while cocoa and saffron take a step back so the sweet vanilla and very subtle immortelle can dance too.

Overall, it has that Tom Ford (dark vibes) / Memo Paris (spiciness) / Tauer (dry, desert-like feel) thing going on and I have the impression I've already smelled a smoother, more masterfully well-blended fragrance like this one somewhere else. It has dark, sultry energy, but it's also bold, strong and in-your-face. The spicy component backed by the suede and powderiness of it all is a complete turn off to me; I'm not made for those type of scent profiles. Could be good for those who love this, but you might find a better alternative somwhere else.

HAHAHA. I still can't get over how this was a rollercoaster ride of an opening. I got all of it: the sour yogourt smell, the rancid cheese aspect. It was wild to say the least. There's no fall from grace: Jousset was already at a pretty low point for my expectations and this one just... didn't disappoint my expectations, I guess?

Anyways: sour yogourt, rancid cheese: you either get one or both. If you're that Ultra Rare Special™ person, seems you might get a dreamy, creamy thing that ressembles crème brûlée, but I'm not part of that elite class. My boyfriend got all three of them in rapid succession which was wild! Thankfully it ends up moving from that weird lactonic biohazard and starts smelling like vanilla with a hint of that synthetic vanilla I've spotted in other Jousset fragrances. Bland, uninspired and nowhere near crème brûlée. If you wanna go for that, you're better off with Escapade Gourmande.

Some people have said letting it macerate (which is not a thing anyways), might make this scent last longer. I can confirm it doesn't work. I've had this sample for awhile and the lactonic mess didn't undergo a magic transformation. Really, skip this. It's not worth your time.

I haven't had a lot of experience with pistachio in perfumes. I've tried it in Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 Eau de Parfum and it wasn't the best experience, but in "Sol Cheirosa '62 | Sol de Janeiro" it was a great moment (but backed by almonds). I'm still not sure after this one if pistachio is a note I wish to explore in fragrances as this perfume hasn't been the best thing either.

The beginning was fine, with a very realistic vanilla macaron scent that wafted up to my nose. I did get some creaminess and a slight hint of pistachio, but nothing too big or too overwhelming. Vanilla is probably the bigger note of the two. Unfortunately, as it moved on, I started getting that janky, synthetic vanilla. The nuttiness remains but also turns more spicy. Pistachio becomes more undescript as time passes and the scent starts to warm up on the skin. The spicy and synthetic partnership completely turned me off at this point.

I haven't had a lot of luck with Jousset's fragrances. I find most of them pretty synthetic, sometimes overwhelmingly sweet and missing that masterful blending / classy gourmand-like experience. This one is another miss for me, but thankfully (I guess), unlike the Kayali one, it didn't smell like industrial bathroom pink soap.
