Not just another aquatic
This is such a lovely scent.

It’s so light, soft, airy, but very much present.

It’s watery without ever being aquatic or salty.

The citrus and herbal touches at the top are super vibrant, efervescent, energising, natural feeling. Really opens up your eyes.

Then the way it transitions to an airy yet powdery Violet, slightly carnal jasmin and soft enveloping iris is heartwarmingly beautiful.

The base is soft, musky, melds with the skin. But never stops projecting its airy, watery, fresh presence.

At first glance a very simple and straightforward scent, that surprises you with its complexity and behaviour as you wear it.

Climbed to the top of my favourites for warm days and, mind you, rainy days as well!

I find the floral and violet nuance of this, amazing for rainy days.

Daily Class
This is pretty much the definition of a perfect everyday wear for me.

The one you use for everything and anything, resting assured it will work wonders.

This could be just another blue fragrance in this current “blue craze”, but it’s not.

The vetiver plays a major role here for me, and I’m glad it does! What a great vetiver it is!

The way the florals dance with the citrus while it develops, even hinting sometimes at a slight smoky/leathery nuance is just fantastic.

Mass pleasing and easy to wear? For sure!
Boring? No. Not to me.

And I don’t just say this.
The first time I sampled this in Budapest at freezing point temperatures, I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. Now tried and tested in all seasons and occasions, with a full bottle in hands, I can happily say it was my most used fragrance in 2022, and one of the most special (Wore it even to the Wedding of a loved one)

Bottled Class and Versatility.

Piñacoladas on warm skin after a long day at the beach
Francesca Bianchi and 'The art of Sensuality' made Tropical.

Sex and the Sea is Piñacoladas on warm skin after a long day at the beach.
Tipsy laughs at sunset.
Long conversations with ‘hot sand on toes, cold sand in sleeping bags’.
A cheeky smile over the shoulder.
A soft touch of a loving hand on slightly burnt and salty skin.

It's such a mesmerising fragrance to me.

I always say this is a piñacolada made carnal and sensual.

How does that work?
Well, ask Francesca herself because the magic she does with the base of her fragrances is something I can’t quite explain.

And these REALLY need skin to show off.

This opens up with a very juicy yet creamy pineapple and coconut accord.

Then develops into a very buttery, slightly salty (not aquatic) and musky (skinlike) drydown.

The Francesca Bianchi DNA of orris butter, sandalwood along with the musky cocktail really make this a sensual piece.

A very warm day at the beach sipping some cocktails with a happy ending?

That’s what I get from this one and I love it.

The art of smelling edible
The warmth of a hug. Home. That’s Lira from Xerjoff to me.

The art of smelling edible.

This is one of the most delicious smells to me, never crossing the overly sweet obnoxious line.

It’s fluffy, it’s decadent, it’s cozy, without ever becoming cloying.

It’s the perfect balance between the tartness of citrus and the warmth of vanilla, touches of caramel and fluffy musks.

This one is also sensual, but I may be biased because of the association I have with this one.

Possibly my favourite from the Casamorati line in a tough fight with 1888.

The Best while not the best
It’s safe to say that Layton is the closest thing to a signature scent for me.

It was the first ever "niche" fragrance I ever got - and I use the quotation marks here contiously because while being niche in the strict technical definition, is quite mainstream in character (which is not necessarily bad)
And even after all this time and after sampling more than 1000 scents, it’s still my favourite.

I can’t quite explain why. Layton just fits me. My personality.

I also love the way it develops on me through the day. Never gets me bored.

Opens up very spicy and aromatic with Cardamom, Lavender and Geranium and even slightly fresh and fruity from the Bergamot and Apple.

Then it develops a lot and becomes a super smooth dance between the florals, rich woods and vanilla.

Yes I’m biased because of my strong emotional attachment to this one. But isn’t that what fragrance is all about?
