Green yet sweet
Typically I trend toward accents with prominent tomato leaf notes. This is not that, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's a crisp and green, water rolling off verdant foliage kind of scent - but it's also a sweet, candy-like green - thanks to agave and tamarind with a sugar note as well. There's also a soupçon, an undercurrent, of gentle heat, a slight piquancy. Just enough to let you know it's there without disturbance.
Not so much Cherry pie...
The April Fools joke that wasn't a joke. A Little Secret.
This, to me is more Cherry pipe tobacco with hints of a cooled down, day old Cherry pie, ready to be eaten with a few shots of rum. The patchouli adds a bit of medicinality to this, and the tonka gives it a bit of a chewy, yet powdery texture. It's more tart than sweet, even with the sugar and marzipan notes. Great for a cool afternoon, but really doesn't remind me of sitting down for a delicious, sticky, fresh Cherry pie.

Walking in a moonlit snowy forest
This, to me, is a walk through a winter forest, the snow glistening with the moonlight shining through the bare branches of the trees. This opens very camphorous on me, the cypress very medicinal and cold, the pine sappy and sticky. I find this absolutely magnificent. It's the scent of crisp snow on broken arborvitae branches, of Christmas conifers, slightly sappy.
Cypress, thuja, arborvitae - is a favorite if mine, evoking wonderful childhood memories.
As that quiets, the woody notes change into a dry, stately cedar with hints of smoky frankincense and spicy black pepper. You've walked through the forest on your way to a midnight prayer ritual. Fire and incense burning, infusing their accents into the surrounding environs.
A base of warm musk and earthy patchouli welcome you to the prayer circle.
Absolutely divine!

Des mauvaise herbes - quelle bonheur
This fragrance has a massive dose of what the French call which means "bad herbs" i.e. weeds, literally translated. As an avid gardener, I hate having to pluck out the weeds in my garden, however, I've always loved the green, sappy smell of the native species we have here in Massachusetts. This really captures that spirit, it's like sitting down to weed the garden on a warm summer afternoon. No geosmin, just lots of damp, crisp green lushness. It's fresh, green, spicy, with a teeny tiny powdery undertone. Absolutely phenomenal, as is anything produced by M. Corticchiato.
A sexy caress from a bad boy
Love at first sniff. This, to me is the fragrant embodiment of a caress and embrace from a sexy, but badass person. My very favorite note of all time, frankincense, mingles with cinnamon and black pepper plus warm vanilla. But it's the multifaceted Tonka bean that really brings you that warm, spicy feeling of skin to skin closeness. I get a very prominent leather note from this with my skin chemistry. Sometimes suede-esque, other times like a well with bomber jacket with by a hunky 80s/90s bad boy.
As it dries down it gets a bit powdery and softer, the Iris and muguet - but to me this isn't overtly floral, they're there as supporting cast.
The Tonka shifts and reshapes, sometimes displaying cherry and almond like facets, other times more of a tobacco feel. It's really quite delicious and divinely sexy.
