The King of Mallorca
As a nerdy Parfumo I have put together for my first holiday in two years various bottlings. Hardly arrived in Mallorca I had to realize that I forgot the bag with the fillings at home.
Instead of California Dreaming with Sunshine at the Afternoon Swim and chill in the Beach Hut, my first day of vacation led me back to the 90s, in a local perfumery.

The deeper you get into it, the more disappointing visits to duty free and holiday perfumeries become.

While I was looking for "Scandal pour Homme", there was not even "Le Male - Le Parfum" on site. Since it's better not to leave too much money in stores where "Sauvage" and "Good Girl" are the latest trends and top picks, my selection was limited to the "Back to the 90s" shelf with "Jill Sander Sun", "Cool Water" and the now finally introduced "Sculpture" by Nikos after a long introduction.

100ml for €16.99, which is not a top offer but completely justifiable. From the first spray, memories of family holidays in the 90s come flooding back. "Sculpture" was smelled at every corner back then. The fragrance was the king of Mallorca. At that time, however, I never bought it, but always opted for the fragrance twin "Minotaure" by Paloma Picasso, because I found the flacon a lot cooler.

The fresh opening with tangerine, orange blossom and lemon combined with lily of the valley and bergamot makes the fragrance an absolute all-rounder in the summer. With hardly any other perfume fits the saying "more helps more" better, because you should be generous when spraying. Even with ten sprays, which initially tingle refreshingly on the skin, there is not much left after an hour.

The good-sounding drydown with amber, benzoin, tonka bean, and cedar is over faster than you can smell it, but that's perfectly fine for the price.

Whether "Sculpture" now belongs in every collection, others should judge. But one thing is certain, that you get here for little money a ticket back to the 90s, and a very pleasing, everyday fragrance receives.

And let's face it... even Xerjoff knows the hits of the 90s: "Uden" is a very well-made high-end version of "Sculpture" meets "Minotaure" and probably so popular precisely because of the memories of the good old days. ?♂️

Come to stay
To call Marc Gebauer a Youtuber who has now also launched his own fragrance certainly does not do him justice.

With his company, he specializes in the distribution of luxury items in the field of watches, bags, coffee and perfume. In each of his videos you notice how he burns for these topics, and brings them across authentically.

When it comes to perfume, Marc is someone who seems to love the extraordinary. In his videos, he likes to challenge his guests with very individual scents when testing new perfumes. He never puts his own opinion so much in the foreground as, for example, Jeremy Fragrance or Aaron Terence Hughes, but lets his guests speak.

For many months, you could now follow that Marc is working on his own fragrance, an apparently very individual air. Out came Air Tiger.

even if the name refers to a watch model, but you notice very quickly when you open the elegant, valuable flacon, that there is a beast in it.

Durability and they sillage of the Tiger are brutal. Once sprayed on, one takes the fragrance even the next day still more than clearly perceived, and he is different than I imagined him after reading various reviews and statements.

Immediately in the opening, the fragrance seemed very familiar to me, I did not come up at first, however, what he reminds me. Then it became clearer: Air Tiger has the cola-lemon vibes of Rojas Enigma. However, it is not the fresh ice-cold cola with lemon, but an insanely intense spicy cola-lemon syrup - as if the fragrance oil of Enigma had not been mixed with alcohol.

In the course, when the fresh note is shaken off, joins more and more black iris, and the fragrance can be compared well with the already mentioned Interlude Man Black Iris. The scent remains very intense for many hours, and becomes darker, leathery and smoky with time until it eventually disappears.

Once decided for Air Tiger, however, there is no going back. He has come to stay also showers helps there nothing.

Marc Gebauer delivers a strong debut. Air Tiger is potent, adult, individual and definitely a statement. Congratulations!

Personally, I do not see many occasions on which I can wear the fragrance, or would like to wear, but if there are those occasions, I will wear it very happily.

Statement through understatement
Even if the fragrance pyramid reveals the individual components, I expected something completely different because of the name and the bottle, a darker heavier fragrance.

The surprise follows after spraying on: Nero70 is warm and soft. The fragrance just feels good from the first moment. Wodgods comparison with a sinfully expensive spa hits it perfectly.

There is a hint of wellness in the air - not like an aggressive sauna infusion, but very gentle. Noble herbs and flowers are discreetly accompanied by citrus and a wonderful vanilla sweetness.

The fragrance is neither sweet nor heavy, but also not fresh. He is unobtrusive and also does not project particularly strongly.

What reads like complete disillusionment, however, is the exact opposite. Nero70 is like a favorite piece of clothing. You put it on and feel comfortable. Whether evening dress (Nero can make the grand entrance) or wool sweater is up to you, because Nero is not about the big show and dazzle, Nero is only about you and your well-being. He shows you that and he shows the others.

An all around successful Xerjoff.
