----------

what a fantastic and harmonious fragrance.
admittedly fits in my opinion the cool naming
and the coloring of the beautiful flacon not really the fragrance DNA,
but does it always have to? i mention this only because maybe
some might have false expectations at the sight.
here there is absolutely nothing gloomy or seventiesartig ;)

what you get is simply a wonderful orangy-sweet

Metallic neroli meets warm vanilla
Well? Curious about the title? I hope so, because this fragrance is worth getting to know.
You get to a lot of great scents by accident, if you want to call it that - a swap here, a swap there. You know the drill. But let's get to this great composition without further ado, which knows how to impress through the combination of light, fresh notes with again opposite, namely heavy and sweet.
"Nero70" captivates in the opening by a neat Nerolischwall. The predicate of this movement is rather symbolic nature, it should rather stand for "impress" or similar. Because here nothing stings in the nose ... really not.
The neroli has a wonderfully metallic-cool appearance. The emergence of - I put it gently - "granny" associations is skillfully prevented by just the right amount of added citrus. Which citrus fruits are exactly, I can not smell out, however.
With every second, every minute and every hour, the vanilla then emerges more and more clearly. This is very soft, not too sweet and not at all sticky or penetrating, which is probably due to the light and subtly fruity neroli. This kind of interplay between light and heavy notes is one that seems to have been perfected at Xerjoff and that you will find again and again at this fragrance house. Take a whiff of "Uden" or "Naxos." Then you'll understand what I mean.
But back to "Nero70", where we now have a slightly metallic neroli vanilla compound - long lasting, not too brutally radiating, to my nose even quite subtle (and that at Xerjoff) as well as cross-seasonally suitable for everyday use. It will probably be at its best in spring, but this fragrance also does well on colder days, even in sub-zero temperatures. So if you're looking for a modern neroli scent that works almost year-round, you should test it!

Known as a fragrance itself, especially as a perfume
The Nero70 is probably the first fragrance with a velvet bottle that I have ever liked from Xerjoff. After a really long search for a bottling, I eventually found an offer for this exclusive and was able to get hold of a bottling.
And as good as it smells, I don't find it really special. It walks a fine line between a dna, which I haven't really smelled as a perfume yet, but on the other hand it is incredibly similar to the scent of a hotel fragrance/hotel property. Hotel scent is of course completely unspecific and could mean anything, but both my first thought when testing it and that of my girlfriend went in the direction of a hotel scent. By this I mean the kind of room scents in hotels that you often smell around the Mediterranean. Something sweet and fresh and citrusy, almost exactly like the Nero70 smells, only in the hotels it smelled so synthetic, which fortunately we were spared with the Nero70. The kind of fragrance that you smelled immediately after opening the automatic sliding doors, preferably in larger hotels.

But first to the fragrance itself. A bright, radiant lemon opens, along with blossoming lavender, the two notes make me think of the Sicilian coast for the first few minutes. This is followed by a rather strong neroli note, which is quite sweet and delicate, yet long-lasting. Neroli is also more citrusy and less floral here. This neroli combined with the Xerjoff sweet-creamy musk-vanilla base results in something very special. It is partly like a creamy vanilla ice cream, and the overall impression has a cooling effect on me.
It also just reminds me of vacation. I can't describe how the hotels do it, but as a child I was often on vacation in Spain, where many hotels smelled almost exactly the same. The Nero70 recreates this carefree vacation experience for me.

I don't have this strong association with similar fragrances such as Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum or Sun Song. In general, the similarity between the fragrances for me lies in the citrusy notes. So the fragrance itself is probably a bit familiar, but to smell it so well realized in a perfume is again very rare, so Nero70 always remained in my memory as very special. This sweet vanilla note makes Xerjoff stand out even more, which is probably where the similarity to the vacation fragrance lies.

My opinion of this perfume varies from time to time, but overall it has won me over and has stayed positively in my memory.

Statement through understatement
Even if the fragrance pyramid reveals the individual components, I expected something completely different because of the name and the bottle, a darker heavier fragrance.

The surprise follows after spraying on: Nero70 is warm and soft. The fragrance just feels good from the first moment. Wodgods comparison with a sinfully expensive spa hits it perfectly.

There is a hint of wellness in the air - not like an aggressive sauna infusion, but very gentle. Noble herbs and flowers are discreetly accompanied by citrus and a wonderful vanilla sweetness.

The fragrance is neither sweet nor heavy, but also not fresh. He is unobtrusive and also does not project particularly strongly.

What reads like complete disillusionment, however, is the exact opposite. Nero70 is like a favorite piece of clothing. You put it on and feel comfortable. Whether evening dress (Nero can make the grand entrance) or wool sweater is up to you, because Nero is not about the big show and dazzle, Nero is only about you and your well-being. He shows you that and he shows the others.

An all around successful Xerjoff.

The harmony of neroli and vanilla
My first fragrance impression:
Neroli and vanilla Beautifully combined.
I would have guessed something in the direction of Neroli Outrenoir, but Nero70 is more like a vanilla cream with a neroli-citrus bonnet, not a classic neroli fresh scent.
So I can't even commit myself to a season. But I'd rather wear it in the evening for a special occasion.
Smells incredibly noble and now I also know what the vanilla in Nero70 reminds me of:
Woman in gold by Kilian.

This Xerjoff really surprised me positively.
Unfortunately, I often have the problem with Neroli as a note with the durability and Sillage.
Nevertheless this scent is worth a test!

Nero70 is a combination of citruses with neroli, rounded by a sensual musk and a subtle vanilla. Fresh, powdery and sweet. Good longevity.

Hard to get but I find XJ Kobe is similar. Drydown is sweeter than Kobe and longer lasting. Nero70 has a better value (255€/100ml). Unisex.
