My favorite winter fragrance
Parfums de Marly - a brand that I had only known for about 2 months when I smelled Oajan for the first time. I started with Layton, quickly followed by Althair and Carlisle here in the souk and I found all the fragrances good to very good.
Nevertheless, none of the previous PdMs really blew me away. Until the day I visited the wonderful Kurfürstenparfümerie in Mannheim on a cold winter's day with my family, all in search of new fragrances.
I told my brother about Angels Share, whose tester was unfortunately empty, while the extremely nice saleswoman advised us.
"I've got just the thing for you," said the saleswoman and came around the corner with the Oajan.
Another Parfums de Marly?" was my first thought. The previous fragrances hadn't knocked my socks off like the Angels Share or some Xerjoff fragrances.
The reaction from my brother and I after the first spray of Oajan on my skin was pure amazement. Absolutely wow. This cinnamon mixed with plum. A fragrance couldn't smell more Christmassy.
We were both immediately convinced. This fragrance completely knocked my socks off. This fragrance is by far the best I have ever smelled in terms of perfume.
H/S is a very good match, even though I often have problems here - especially with other PdMs!
With Oajan, Parfums de Marly has created a masterpiece. I love this fragrance. You almost get melancholy when spring starts again, because I wouldn't wear the fragrance at any other time of year than winter.

A scented dream
It's mid-January, my father had given me a 30ml bottle of Parfums de Marly - Layton for Christmas and my recently dormant passion for perfume, which had been dormant for years, has been rediscovered.
My father himself has bought countless fragrances here and I wanted to try them out at his place that January evening.
Xerjoff - I'd heard that before. Ah right, those were the fragrances in the beautiful bottles that my mother always wears. So I wanted to try a Xerjoff fragrance.
With the words "this is the Naxos, it's "everybodys darling", he sprays a splash of Naxos on my right hand. Less than a second later, the fragrance particles reach my nose and I am absolutely thrilled, almost "obsessed". I've never smelled anything so good.
My perfumes were very limited before, I once had Creed - Original Vetiver and a Byredo, but I never wore them.
I liked the Layton I received as a gift, very much in fact, and for me there couldn't really be anything better until the Naxos burned itself into my brain and had to go off all scales.
What an incredible fragrance. I had to have it. So I bought the first bottle straight away.
Unfortunately (and this is the case with all fragrances), Beast Mode doesn't work for me. The fragrance only lasts a few hours (1-2), which unfortunately leads to deductions.
The more I smell it and the more I get involved in the world of fragrances, the less I like the scent. Don't get me wrong, the fragrance is fantastic, but there are better ones. Hence no 10 rating.
Nevertheless, Naxos was the fragrance that sparked my passion and I am very grateful for it and will continue to wear it regularly.
That evening, I smelled it on my hand every 5 seconds or so. This spritz was still sniffable for me for over 5 days, since then I have unfortunately never noticed such a durability on me (yes I also have an old 2021 batch).
