L’innocence de l’air by Valentino is a true masterpiece of elegance and freshness. The scent starts sharp, lime bitter. And then the dark dry chocolate. Very prominent, then the salty lime recedes and lets the mezcal take the lead. The cocoa is present the whole time. Finally, it becomes smoky and woody. This lingers for many hours. I really like it. It fits well into the nightlife, in a bar… the incense adds a spiritual vibe to it all.

On my skin, the scent develops very intimately, woody, creamy, and soft. It envelops me and is very suitable for layering with other fragrances. It is not loud or intrusive. It is subtle and enhances, in the best sense, my personal skin scent. Clearly, my skin and this molecular fragrance get along wonderfully.

Who would have thought that I would like this perfume so much. It was one of my first encounters in niche perfumery, and at first, I was overwhelmed by the scent.

Softly, leather joins in - supple, dark, of that kind that does not smell of animal or wilderness, but of cultivation, of old books and quiet rooms. Patchouli and Ambrostar weave imperceptibly beneath, allowing the composition to hover like a warm breath over the skin.
