Roses and dates, honey and opulence

I'm usually not a rose girl, but woah, this fragrance is captivating! An opulent rose that's drenched in thick, golden honey with caramel-like dates among the fallen petals. That's what I'm getting for the first few hours. It's giving alluring and mysterious, but also warmth and opulence.

The drydown is still giving roses, but the dates honey note has receded a bit. I start getting some warmth and fruitiness (from the davana?) that differ a bit from the date's previous fruitiness and the golden honey. There's also a subtle tinge of powderiness that might be from the almonds (although it's nowhere near the one found in Chemin d'Amande).

I do have to say this perfume is masterfully well-blended and a unique one at that. The symphony of roses, dates, honey, followed by davana and almond are all so well-curated and are masterfully well threaded into one another. It's a coherent story, a gourmand, sweet one, but for modern sensitivites or those who want something a bit different from the usual sacharine, over-the-top, sugary offerings. I tested it a few times and even though I'm not a rose girl, this might be the best one for me. Will be going for a full bottle!

What a gorgeous niche, feminine fragrance! Definitely unique. This is the kind of scent I was hoping for from Feve Gourmand by Guerlain! As per the notes I can smell them all, but this is a lot more rose forward than the OG. I hate rose fragrances, but love this. It’s definitely more of a honeyed jammy rose. This is super long lasting and would be great for date night. It’s rich, comforting, a bit mysterious and sexy.

I would say having the OG and extrait definitely doesn’t make either redundant. They are similar fragrances, you can tell they’re related, but they’re still different enough to justify having both. The OG is more of a daytime, date forward fragrance and the extrait more for night. Absolutely love them!

Honey-Date Dessert

Compared to "Jardins de Misfah (Eau de Parfum) | Une Nuit Nomade," the honey and date sweetness are more prominent, and the rose takes a back seat. It is truly a super beautiful and interesting everyday fragrance that smells refined and sweet. This one blends perfectly with the skin and lasts at least 6 hours on my skin.

It is Evening in Misfah..

..the sun shines in soft red over the honey-sweet date palms and slowly disappears behind the mountains. I am sitting on a large clay stone, which is still glowing hot. The landscape is picture-perfect beautiful. Everything is idyllic and calm, everything feels slowed down to me, as if time has stood still. Around me, different spices and plants are fragrant - everything is perfectly coordinated.
Spring water gently flows down the mountain, and one might think it is floating, with every touch from a living being giving a faint burst of energy. At a fork in the path, a beautiful rose bush is blooming. Its plump flowers reach over the massive rock wall into infinity. I blink twice, enchanted by this dreamlike oasis.

More nutty and subdued than the EDP. The rose is less jammy and upfront, the base feels more textured than sheer. And it doesn’t scream–yay!

I'm not a rose person and while this rose isn't super bothersome, I still don't love this. If I had to pick one, I choose Extrait over EDP.

In direct comparison to the EdP, it has a nicer development: the base lacks the underlying anise spiciness. Instead, there's a longer fine honey sweetness. I like it!
