My first Parfums de Marly - a knockout!
Now I must confess: I haven't tested any Parfums de Marly fragrance until now. Even though everyone raves about Delina and Cassili, nothing has convinced me to try the scents so far.

Then, on the Parfumo homepage, the little pink bottle appeared as a newcomer. The pink color immediately caught my attention, and I had to check out the fragrance notes - I guess I'm just too girly for that. Raspberry and marshmallow intrigued me right away, and since I'm more into the designer world and not necessarily at home in niche fragrances, I hoped that the scent would still be pleasing. Comparisons were quickly made to love dont be shy by Kilian, but I don't know that one either and unfortunately can't comment on it.

So, I took action: I sniffed around at Parfumo in the Souk and found a lovely lady who sent me a decant. It arrived today. I immediately tore open the envelope to spray the fragrance on. Despite my impatience, I waved my arm back and forth twice and tried hard not to hold my nose right up to the scent... With the waving, a sweet cloud came my way, so I quickly brought my hand to my nose... and then... BOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

The scent:
The beginning is super fresh/citrusy, but really not for long. For the first few seconds, the grapefruit comes through very dominantly for me, but not bitter at all, rather fresh, almost sweet. After the next neutral inhale and sniff, the scent has already changed for me. Fruity notes come into play. I hardly perceive the blackcurrant, which is very good for me, as I unfortunately always get headaches from too strong blackcurrant. Instead, the raspberry is all the more present and beautiful. Not zesty fresh, but rather sugared, yet still true to its original form and not strongly synthetic - which I find great. The orange blossom joins in, on the same level as the raspberry. The heart of the fragrance is so beautifully fruity sweet that it fits perfectly for me in spring and summer... simply heavenly... you might already sense that I'm in love! The fruity notes are wonderfully emphasized by the sweet base notes. The marshmallow is very present here. It’s a really nice powdery marshmallow. So not sticky, but with that powdery layer on top. You probably know it. The cream and musk support the sweetness and round it off creamy.

So I don't want to stick my neck out too far, but this could easily become a new candidate for a signature scent. It really works for any occasion. Sweet and fruity, but not too loud. It definitely works well in a subtle dose at the office and lifts your spirits, even in bad weather.

It's a very youthful scent. So it fits well for women in their mid-20s (like me, so I’m justifying it to myself).... Of course, anyone can wear what they want, and a fragrance knows no age or gender, but that would be my first association.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage and longevity are solid, but by no means overwhelming or exceptional. The scent hovers around you like a small bubble in the first few hours, then it quickly becomes very close to the skin.

But come on - since I’m an absolute oversprayer anyway, I don’t mind. With a few more sprays, you can turn it into a sweet marshmallow beast - and if not - just spray again.

So far, I haven't seen it on any websites in Germany, only on the Parfums de Marly site. As soon as it’s available in German perfumeries, I will buy it immediately as a bottle! Simply wonderfully beautiful.....

A warm companion - for me for the summer
So to begin with: I believe I am almost alone in my opinion. But first, I would like to explain how I came across this fragrance.

My favorite YouTuber Paulina Schar has featured this scent extensively in her videos. Whether in warm and sensual contexts or as a date fragrance, this beautiful black bottle was always present. Since she and I have a similar "nose," I had to order this fragrance. Even though it was quite risky to buy it blindly - because unfortunately, I am not a true Neroli fan. But in the current situation, there wasn’t much choice left. Anyway, I went ahead - two days later it arrived. With eager anticipation, I unpacked the fragrance, took a sniff, and WOW - what I first get is a strong coconut and vanilla that play joyfully with the floral notes. A fresh fruitiness is provided at the beginning by the apple, the mandarin, and only very subtly the scent of Neroli. After the first few minutes, the fresh notes fade a bit, and what remains is an incredibly harmonious blend of flowers, coconut, and vanilla that feels so cozy and creamy that you can only feel good with this scent. For me, it also has a total oriental touch due to the vanilla-apple-coconut combo.

Furthermore, it shines with very good longevity and a pleasant sillage that is not overwhelming but still present.

However, when I look at the community's categorization, which places the fragrance more in the winter and autumn, I feel completely out of place.

I can fundamentally imagine this scent being good in all seasons, and yes, everyone is right that it fits very well with the cooler seasons, as it is warm, heavy, and creamy.
But when I close my eyes and sniff the fragrance, it instantly transports me to a warm summer evening at a restaurant, on the beach, or a promenade with a glass of Hugo. Due to the oriental touch and the dominant coconut for me, it clearly belongs in my go-to summer evening fragrances.

Perhaps someone understands my somewhat different enthusiasm for the scent.

Even now, I enjoy wearing it and can hardly wait to make my summer visions of the fragrance come true.

cozy and secure - warm and floral
To begin with - I grew up with this fragrance. My mother had this scent long before and wore it very often for as long as I can remember.
Therefore, this fragrance already has a very individual significance for me, as I associate it with home.

Now I haven't lived at home for a long time, and the scent was out of my mind.
Recently, however, I received a sample at Douglas and couldn't help but smile. In my perfume-collecting passion, this scent had completely slipped my mind, and I never acquired it. Until now.

After I emptied the small bottle in no time and enjoyed every single second with the fragrance, I immediately decided to buy it.

To begin with: I believe that the scent has been minimally reformulated and has gained depth compared to before. But there is no exact information on this. It could just be a matter of perception.

What can be said about the scent:
It simulates a smell of the poppy flower, which does not actually exist. That's already a great idea. Nevertheless, Alberto Morillas has done a very good job.
The base of the fragrance is warm, cozy, and in my opinion, also creamy. The combination of musk, patchouli, vanilla, and amber gives this rather floral scent immense depth and longevity. You can enjoy the fragrance intensely for at least 8 hours.
The base ensures that the floral heart notes can unfold fantastically. Together, they form a unique constellation that you won't find in any other perfume. Neither the rose, nor the mimosa, nor the camellia are individually recognizable. They create a perfect harmonious overall picture. The fruity and spicy top notes of lychee and ginger give the scent a wonderful lightness and fruitiness in the first minutes, which, however, is quickly overshadowed by the heart and base notes.

Conclusion: I like to reach for Flower by Kenzo. Especially now in autumn and winter, it is for me a floral scent that offers more than just lightness, which I would rather wish for spring or summer. Nevertheless, it is not so overpowering that it couldn't be worn in spring or summer. So it is a great all-rounder for all seasons.
I see the fragrance more for daytime, but with the right outfit, it is also suitable for going out.
For me, one of the most versatile floral fragrances.

PS: The sister L'Elixir is also fantastic and a great flanker. If needed, give it a sniff. Fans of Flower by Kenzo will also like this one.

Cleaner Summer Scent - Unique!
I received the fragrance as a sample and have extensively tested it this summer.
One must say that the freshness of the apple and lemon notes is almost overwhelming. It is a scent that is uniquely fresh and fruity, making it easily recognizable as a signature fragrance. You can spot this scent among thousands!

I find the sillage to be quite good for such a fresh scent, and the longevity is impressive for one of the freshies!

However, I would really only reach for this fragrance in the summer; in my opinion, it fits less well in other seasons. If at all, it would be more suitable as an office scent rather than an everyday fragrance.

Nonetheless, I will definitely be getting it next year. :)

Sensual, Cuddly Love
Well, I don't recognize any details in the scent. But the overall sweet combination is breathtaking. It's like floating in a big sweet cloud.

Many rave about the great longevity, which I can understand. The sillage is also there, yet I can only smell the fragrance on myself for the first few minutes; after that, I only notice it when a breeze catches me.

I love wearing it in the evening, as it is so sweet and sensual.
