This is a vanilla night out with a whisper of something sweet; not like candy, but like a shy girl doing something bad for the first time.

Sweet like a bitten earlobe. I love this. Honestly, goodbye to my two college night out scents: GG & Black Opium. I haven’t touched them in years anyway…

If you like a coffee scent, but don’t want it to read too dark/stale/espresso-y, then give this a try

Sweet Seduction

Compared to the regular The Scent for her, this one is noticeably richer. The vanilla, vetiver, and coffee provide a heavy base for this wonderful fragrance. The peach adds a beautiful sweetness and freshness that, when combined with the other notes, reminds one of fresh honey.

A great scent that unfortunately only lasts moderately. After 5 hours, it is already very close to the skin for me, and after another hour, it has faded away.

Still, it's a fantastic evening fragrance that floats around you like a sensual bubble. The sweetness of the scent is not overwhelming, so it will surely be liked by many women.

Despite the mediocre longevity, I wouldn't want to miss it in my collection.

The beginning was hard, but it's worth it!

I will first discuss my complicated journey with this fragrance and in two marked sections (at the very bottom: "SCENT, SILLAGE, AGE/TARGET GROUP") I will address the fragrance itself, its sillage, and longevity. So here we go!

I fell in love with the original fragrance "The Scent for her" and through my new interest in perfume, I was of course very curious about how the variations or flankers, as I have read often, might smell. Due to my autism spectrum disorder, I don't like to be around people and would have preferred to test the fragrances at home and alone, but I dutifully went to the last store in our city center that is called a perfumery. There, I wanted to test this fragrance (The Scent Absolute) and its brother (The Scent le Parfum) on-site to protect the environment and retail. Let's just say... I won't be entering that store again. Four (!) sprays (!) were applied by the lady to each of my forearms. I react sensitively to strong scents and, of course, I was not pleased. My nose started to sting immediately, and I could hardly discern any note or nuance in the fragrance as it was far too intense due to the overspraying. At some point, I could identify a vanilla note that I quite liked, and the lady ordered me a bottle. Without any prior agreement, she sold me the largest bottle size for a hefty price, as everywhere else you can get the perfume cheaper (I couldn't bring myself to say no when picking it up). This circumstance and the fact that I simply do not find the brown of the bottle beautiful at all may have contributed to my initial difficulties with "The Scent Absolute." For the last few weeks, it has evoked the same strange nausea in me that I get from the slightly musty smell of car seats (especially in VW cars). Then I was uncertain whether the fragrance suited me and my 23 years or if it was more for mature women? I had even dug out the packaging to sell it.

But I didn't want to give up and gave it a few more chances, and while I am writing this review, I am wearing the perfume and find it good. The more I sprayed it, the more I could recognize "The Scent," especially in the beginning, and enjoy the heavier farewell and the vanilla more.

SCENT: Immediately after the spray, I smell "The Scent" in its light, breeze-like freshness. After about 10 seconds, however, that is over, and deeper tones come to the fore that do not fade away. The perfume starts very bright and then darkens until it metaphorically reaches the dark brown shade of the bottle. I can clearly identify the vanilla; otherwise, I am not sure, but I would describe the fragrance as warm, perhaps slightly artificial-sweet-gourmand. Still, there is a freshness that "The Scent for her" also has, evoking associations like "freshly washed laundry," "room fragrance," and "afternoon in the shady garden." The longevity is okay, a bit stronger in the first few hours until you can hardly recognize the scent the next day. For reference: I always spray perfumes only once. My strongest perfumes are my benchmark; these can still smell nice on clothes for several days. "The Scent Absolute" definitely does not achieve that.

SILLAGE: Of course, you can apply several sprays, but with just one, the sillage is manageable. Positively viewed, this way you don't bother anyone ;) and the fragrance is also suitable for people like me who have a rather sensitive sense of smell.

AGE/TARGET GROUP: Initially, I thought the fragrance would be ideal for women aged 50 and above. But looking back on my development with the perfume, I have to revise that judgment. Regardless of age, the fragrance is suitable for anyone who wants to smell sensually unobtrusive and playfully sweet.

EDIT: My brother thought that the fragrance could pass as a sweet men's fragrance, and I understand what he means. There is a certain freshness and darkness to the fragrance, as found in many perfumes marketed as men's fragrances.

Have Mercy on Me - Bitingly Inauthentic

I am truly sorry,
but I cannot stand the piercing synthetic scent.
The Scent Absolute for Her is unfortunately a punishment for me and went back immediately.
Bitingly, this creation tries to convince you that it is sweet and inviting, but unfortunately it is so intrusive and inauthentic that it drives you away.

Less is more

I have often wondered why I like this scent so much. Sweet, gourmand, delicious. Simply beautiful. For me, it's a going-out perfume for dates, special evenings, or to impress. I'm just realizing again that there is a coffee note present - I can't pinpoint it exactly, but it always appeals to me in fragrances.
