I blind bought a 50ml bottle of this because I loved
The Only One Eau de Parfum and
The One Eau de Parfum, and heard rumours it was being discontinued. I decided I wanted a bottle before I missed it.
For the record, and the commenter above, I bought my bottle a month ago. The longevity on my
The Only One Eau de Parfum Intense is decent enough for the price, however I’m also comparing this to
Armani Privé - Rouge Malachite. As for pricing, this is considered an averagely priced designer fragrance. I paid £60 for 50ml (pretty cheap in today’s money) of The Only One Intense. Armani’s Rouge Malachite is more than 3x’s the cost at £220 for 50ml or £300 for 100ml!
The Only One Intense is a lovely, intoxicating, creamy coconut and tuberose fragrance. It’s a good quality scent for the price and perfect for spring, summer or a warm autumn day. Comparing it side by side with Rouge Malachite, The Only One Intense does have a bit of a screechy or stronger orange blossom note on the initial spray, however this does die down quickly. The scents are almost identical! I’d actually say a good 95% the same for the first hour. It’s really quite difficult to tell the difference. After one hour
The Only One Eau de Parfum Intense becomes a skin scent, after two hours
The Only One Eau de Parfum Intense does become softer than
Armani Privé - Rouge Malachite . After 3 hours the strength of both scents are near enough the same! I will say I personally don't care about longevity. I automatically top up fragrances when I feel I can’t smell them anyway, so it isn’t something I bother about unless it was extremely poor. The longevity on
Armani Privé - Rouge Malachite is of course better, as you’d expect at 3x’s the cost, but for me that’s also a skin scent after an hour (albeit stronger) I still love Rouge Malachite. It will always be my favourite scent, but this is a brilliant and much cheaper alternative if you don’t want to fork out on Armani! Great value for money in my opinion!
