Perfection in a bottle
Where to start... with this fragrance, in my opinion, everything is perfect!

The name and its meaning, the visually matching bottle and the fragrance that blows you away & envelops - so well thought out and implemented!

The fragrance also reminds me of the Christmas season: delicious, warm and cinnamony/spicy.

The fragrance starts with a nice boozy cognac note, without smelling alcoholic. The oak barrel is also easy to detect - a woody note that is very pleasant and creamy. At the beginning, there is a lot of cinnamon, but it gradually subsides (which I still find good as a cinnamon fan).
The tonka bean is very much in the foreground and is enveloped by the vanilla. Later, the praline comes out nicely & the hazelnut remains rather in the background.

A beautiful gourmand fragrance that is not at all as sweet as you might imagine when reading through the fragrance notes. So clearly it is sweet, but it is pleasant and not bspw. sticky or heavy.

In the drydown, the fragrance gets even better and I am amazed every time how multi-layered and beautiful a fragrance can be.

The fragrance "tells" you its story: why it is called as it is, where it was made and what makes it so special. An addictive and extraordinary fragrance!

When I first tested the fragrance, I was not so convinced. Since I had but also not much to do with gourmand fragrances. Therefore, I was a bit overwhelmed and felt the fragrance not bad, but as "too much". After 2-3 more tests and especially during the drydown, I was so convinced that "Angels' Share | Kilian" became my signature scent and still is (especially in autumn/winter). I'm glad I gave him a second chance, because I have nothing comparable in my collection.

Crackling campfire in the forest
The fragrance that meets its name (or motto) 100%!

Vanilla marshmallows are roasted at night in a forest -at the crackling campfire- so that a delicious & sweet scent spreads. After the meal, the fire slowly goes out (and so does the smoke), but the campfire continues to emit a certain warm scent. A few vanilla marshmallows remain & smell pleasant until the next morning!

Due to the pink pepper, which comes out nicely at the beginning, it "crackles": the woody notes are thus spiced up and the combination is super nice!
In the later course, the pink pepper withdraws, but the vanilla comes out really nice, which also has a certain (but light) creaminess.
Throughout the course, the woody notes are well perceptible and the smoky character subsides over time, so that the fragrance becomes softer.

A beautiful fragrance that shines especially in winter! Warm & to feel good!

So harmonious & beautiful!
The fragrance notes sound like a "wild" combination, so I was very curious to see what the scent would smell like. Rather fresh/citrusy, fruity or sweet?
I am a fan of fresh and (slightly) sweet fragrances & I especially love gourmand fragrances! So I thought this fragrance might be suitable.

The fragrance is mainly a wonderful gourmand scent!
The citrus component takes away some of the sweetness without making the scent itself super citrusy. I smell a lot of vanilla, lemon/bergamot and caramel.

It reminds me - as many here also write - of a delicious lemon cake!
I don't normally like artificial cake scents (e.g. like the teas that are supposed to taste like cake or cheesecake) - but everything here seems so real and well made!

The musk makes everything creamy and round, but remains in the background - just like the blood orange, which is there at the beginning and then gets quieter and quieter.
I don't notice any lavender at all - but I do notice the lovely cinnamon, which adds a pleasant spiciness.

Not much changes in the course of the fragrance - even after several hours, the scent smells similar to the beginning, just a little creamier and less fruity (at least on my skin).

As a picture, I imagine the fragrance as follows:
A warm, sweet lemon cake - prepared with a pinch of cinnamon and plenty of brown sugar and vanilla extract - is placed on a wooden table with roses serving as decoration. Candied blood orange slices and some lemon zest are on top of the lemon cake, which is covered in icing. Next to the plate are freshly laundered cloth napkins.

A beautiful gourmand fragrance that, in my opinion, suits every season and is rightly so popular! Super harmoniously realized!
