Naxos on steroids
Boss Bastard was one of my first 3 ATH samples. I wasn't familiar with the typical ATH DNA beforehand and to say that this fragrance was a relatively harsh introduction to this great house is putting it mildly.

It is very strong, especially at the beginning. Basically, you have a sweet Naxos version in which the citrusy top notes are so overkill that it blows away all your synapses. Similar to "Club de Nuit Intense Man (Eau de Toilette) | Armaf", this evokes a slight toilet stone association in me. However, this develops after about 30 minutes and becomes milder. But the "Boss Bastard" is persistent and continues to annoy you for a few hours :)
It only earns its 5/10 with the subsequent drydown, which finally releases the pungent citrus and which I really can't fault. But even here it doesn't come close to its big brother Naxos.

I can reassure anyone who, like me, is starting out with this fragrance in the ATHs. Because in my opinion, this is by far Aaron's worst work that I have been able to test so far. For me, unfortunately, it's just a badly blended Naxos on steroids :(
But well, whoever finds the Naxos too weak??? is welcome to give it a try. You won't have too little attention with it, especially in closed rooms, even with 1/2 sprays.

Christmas cracker - only it doesn't bang
I smelled the fragrance for the first time in a perfumery in New York and at first it reminded me a lot of "Elevate x Ére | Ére Studios", which was already in my collection and is one of my favorite fragrances for the cold season. But as it was limited, I was looking for a replacement anyway. At first glance, they are very similar, which is why I didn't hesitate for long and ordered it when I got home without testing it again. The risk wasn't too high for the price.

What you get:

First of all, the bottle, which looks nice and high-quality in pictures, but in reality is poorly made and not really nice. Basically a standard bottle with a glued-on fabric sleeve and, in my opinion, an ugly cap.

But well, that's not really the point, because the fragrance is really beautiful.
It actually starts off fresh and spicy. Above all, I can smell the cinnamon and bergamot. After a few minutes, the latter slowly fades and gives way to the delicious sweetness of wine. From then on, it simply smells winey through and through to me. After an hour at the latest, however, this great sweetness has also faded and the fragrance becomes drier. From then on, you have a mixture of woods, leather and tobacco with a very slight cinnamon accent. From here on, it unfortunately becomes quite monotonous for me.

In general, the fragrance develops very quickly and unfortunately fades after just a few hours. The sillage is also not the best. Of course, I had hoped for more, as the DNA is really beautiful in my opinion, especially in the heart, but at this price you can't expect much more.

Conclusion:
If you are looking for a budget fragrance for winter/Christmas, Burberry London could be something for you. With a slightly better H/S, the fragrance would also have real potential. Unfortunately, I don't use it too often as it is.
