A raw masculinity
Journey Man is not a fragrance that tries to be easy, safe, or instantly likable. It feels more like a journey through spice, smoke, tobacco, and raw masculinity, the scent that needs time to reveal what it is really about.
The opening hits hard for me. Sichuan pepper comes in with serious intensity, while the bergamot cuts through it with a bitter, almost razor-sharp freshness. It definitely comes as aggressive at first, but that intensity is also part of what makes the fragrance so compelling. Journey Man doesn't politely ask for attention, it simply takes it
As the opening settles, the tobacco begins to emerge. Dry, dark, and almost leathery rather than sweet or creamy. This isn't the kind of tobacco that smells like vanilla and dessert, it feels much more mature, earthy, and rugged. Then the incense starts to appear, adding a darker and almost spiritual character to the composition. There is something strangely atmospheric about it, like walking into an old room where the smoke of incense is still hanging in the air.
Underneath all of this is an unusual earthy, mineral quality that gives the fragrance even more depth. The combination of smoke, tobacco, spice, and earth makes Journey Man feel incredibly distinctive. It isn't designed to please everyone. It feels manly, raw, and slightly dirty in the best possible way.
As it dries down, the fragrance becomes noticeably smoother. The leather appears, but it's closer to soft suede than harsh, rugged leather. Cypriol brings a dry, woody bitterness, while tonka bean and ambroxan gradually add warmth and soften the edges.
This is where Journey Man really shines. What started as something almost confrontational slowly turns into something refined, confident, and deeply masculine.
For me, this is a fragrance for someone who actually wants to ”smell like a man”, rather than smelling like another generic modern "blue" fragrance. It's spicy, smoky, dry, dark, and masculine without relying on excessive sweetness.
I completely understand why it can divide opinions. The opening can be intense, the tobacco is dry, and the incense gives it a darker personality than many people are used to. But if you appreciate fragrances with character, those are exactly the qualities that make Journey Man so interesting.
Journey Man feels less like a perfume and more like a story, an explosive opening of pepper and citrus, followed by tobacco and incense, then earth and smoke, eventually settling into warm suede and woods.
Dark, confident, sophisticated, and unapologetically masculine. Journey Man won't be everyone's cup of tea and honestly, that's exactly why I love it.
Summer in Greece, not so expensive but really god value for the money
Pacific Rock Moss is such a surprisingly nice fragrance. It’s got that “cheap but really good” vibe, honestly, it smells way more expensive than it is. The green, aquatic notes feel fresh and effortless, perfect for casual days, but it also has a subtle complexity that makes it interesting.
This fragrance is extra special to me because it reminds me of a family trip to Greece with my family and some dear family friends. Every time I meet those friends, I wear Pacific Rock Moss, and instantly I’m transported back to those incredible memories, laughter-filled days, sunsets by the sea, and the warm, joyful company of wonderful people.
Even though it gets low scores for performance, it actually lasts really well on my skin, which is a huge bonus. Because of all these memories and the way it makes me feel, this fragrance will always have a permanent place in my collection.
The Ultimate Manly Summer Vibe
Aventus Cologne is without a doubt one of the best summer fragrances for men. Bright, fresh, and effortlessly uplifting, it’s exactly how a man should smell in the summer. The fruity-citrus opening is refreshing without being overpowering, while the subtle smoky undertones add just enough depth to make it stand out.
Versatile, smooth, and undeniably masculine, Aventus Cologne works perfectly for any summer occasion, day or night, casual or dressed up.
The only downside?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t last very long, which is a real shame for such a fantastic scent. Even so, it’s still a true summer essential.
Personal nostalgia in a bottle
Guerlain Herbes Troublantes became the scent of my summer. Honestly even better than Imagination when the heat really settled in. It’s fresh, green, and effortlessly smooth, the kind of fragrance that feels like warm light and calm air.
I wore it every single day during the summer of 2025, especially on our family trip to Mallorca. That’s where this fragrance rooted itself deep in my memories. Every time I smell it, I’m taken straight back to slow mornings together, the sound of laughter at breakfast, the sun on our skin, and the simple joy of being close to the people I love most.
And I know this scent will stay with me far beyond this year. Twenty or thirty years from now, when my children are grown, I’ll spray Herbes Troublantes with a smile because it will bring back those precious moments, the carefree days, and all the warm, genuine laughter we shared as a family.
This bottle isn’t just a fragrance; it’s a memory I’ll carry for life. It will always have a permanent place in my collection.
Perfectly Balanced Celine Signature
Celine Parade is one of those fragrances that feels effortlessly refined from the first spray. It’s extremely well-balanced, every note melts together in a smooth, seamless way, with nothing sharp or overwhelming. The citrus opening is bright without being loud, and the musky dry-down is clean, soft, and quietly elegant.
It definitely carries the unmistakable Celine DNA, but it never screams for attention. Instead, it stays subtle, polished, and beautifully understated, perfect for anyone who appreciates refined simplicity. I totally love it, but I agree performance could be a bit better.
