Does the new one have rose? The rose in the previous one turned me away but I love the overall DNA. So, Im hoping the new one doesn’t have rose.
Dior Homme Parfum vs DHP 2024…

I don't believe either of them have rose. I honestly prefer Dior Homme Parfum (2024) to the 2014 version. It opens with the dry iris of
Dior Homme Intense (2011)/
Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette but dries down sweet bubblegum amberwood-y like
Ultra Mâle. Mostly the rating is bad because of people salty that the 2014 version was discontinued, it's a great mass-appealing cool weather/evening scent.
Does the previous one have rose? It’s not listed in the notes. But anyway the new one is completely different. I like it better than the old one.

Not exactly, I think it contains castoreum with rose water, the effect of a brand new suede item where the suede has been perfumed with a light rose odor. And I do get this from my bottle. What i do not get is the oud it is supposed to contain ,maybe the iris is too strong throughout the sillsge.

How do you know you prefer the 2024 homme parfum to the 2014 ? Did you have a bottle once of the 2014 homme parfum. Everybody says that the 2024 is too metallic but I cannot say so. I'm trying it the following week. The problem with the 2014 homme parfum was it was not available at dept stores as a tester to try. You could never buy a sample. You could order a 100 ml bottle strictly through DIR from 2014 untill 2020 Then from 2020 to a little bit before the end of 2024 you could only buy the same parfum in 75 ml bottles.

You could either buy a sample for some time directly through the DIOR page for Europe and possibly past the 2018 you could only order a bottle to try again through the DIOR site strictly!
I got a sample from a decant site a while ago. I honestly thought they sent me the wrong thing. Didn't get any leather or the Dior Homme signature iris from it. But I ended up sending it to someone else and they confirmed that it was indeed DHP 2014Dior Homme Parfum (2014) will probably be even harder now to sample it since it has been discontinued unfortunately.

What if the 2014 had rose or rosewater perfumed brand new suede? Now it doesn't exist! Francis Kurkdjian with DIOR CEO killed it! And this is a cultural murder for me! As for the 2024 homme parfum go to a department store and try it for yourself from a tester they have! By the way I love men fragrances with rose and I am normal, nothing strange about me, lol!

Yes! Men who like rose in fragrances are normal, I would say Im the abnormal one lol!
I do think the rose in Blue Sapphire Supercharged is good, it’s very clean and no sourness.
Oud, castoreum, rosewater, where did you get the info on that stuff @Tzapan ? On parfumo only Leather, Iris and Sandalwood are listed.

Ok watch : the fragrance never changed really only size of bottle changed from 2014 to the bottle I have ,which is 75 ml
@Ceesie castoreum is what they use for suede. It was my interpretation. For this fragrance does not have typical leather note. I mean not the black leather note. I say rose water because the rose is so soft in it. But look probably the perfumer monsieur Demachy would tell you better . You know perfumers sometimes use their own formula of one or two notes ,maybe he created his own suede - rose note for this creation . But on the site they wrote leather , rose

No that's ok. Of course rose is a matter of taste. There are women who do not like this note either.

That surprises me because if that was the case, it would probably be on Parfumo. They’re rather strict about which notes are listed.

All this dude can do is read notes from Fragrantica so yeah there you have it.

You probably got a sample of this https://www.fragrantica.cThis was really launched in 2020 and it was an edt.We could never have a sample of the Demachy homme parfum . Because you could only get it through pre- order strictly through the DIOR page. The homme edt above notes is the sample you got and it is a very synthetic edt. Nothing like the masterpiece of Demachy. Names like homme are so general . We have to be careful what we get . DIOR then thought let's do another flanker homme but you get people who love the Demachy fragrance disoriented, and anyway you cannot keep a fragrance so strictly monitored . It was probably expensive the production for DIOR . ( The 2014 and 2020 Demachy homme parfum I believe they were the same . Only the size changed. The 100 ml.nottle became 75 ml bottle . I keep saying even this change shows the production of it was expensive for the DIOR house.

Many times before on Parfumo I have noticed notes missing from the pyramid. But on this one they have little information as the fragrance could only be pre- ordered strictly through DIOR. IF I Knew how to add the rest of the notes I would add them . But since it has been discontinued nobody cares.
The fragrance was widely available here in The Netherlands, no problem.
About the notes, if you find a good source (i.e. Dior’s website) you can add them yourself through this site. It’s the Research button.

So am I not really smelling rose? The rose in this at least on initial spray is as prominent as the initial rose of "Deified Tony Iommi | XerJoff" to my nose.
Could be, I’m just saying it isn’t listed as a note. And saying that DHP consists of castoreum bathing in rosewater is just nonsense.
Anyway, the new one definitely has no rose in it. Just go out and smell it, or is it hard to get a sniff of it where you live?

Uh, no. I own Dior Homme (2020) Eau de Toilette, it was definitely not a sample of that. I bought it from a legitimate decant site. I simply was not a fan.
I seriously doubt that. The actual juice is the cheapest thing about fragrances. Bottles/packaging/advertising/distribution are far more expensive. Most likely it was a poor seller because it was a "niche"-style scent. Vast majority of folks walking into department stores would think it is way too weird to wear.

I could but I don’t do that (sampling at stores) because I need more time with a fragrance (5ml sample) for my nose to fully understand. I wouldn’t have bought 80% of what I have if I sampled at stores only.
I do have a 5ml sample on its way though!
