I have two books in progress, one is "Murder past Due", Book one of the Cat in the Stacks serie, by Miranda James (a man, despite his name). It's entertaining and funny.
The second is an audiobook, "Blanc", by Sylvain Tesson, Tesson is a traveler-writer, often described as an icon of reactionnism, but i don't care, even his personal political views are very far from mine, I enjoy his books.
I`ve just discovered the books of Liu Cixin. He is truly a visionary and his blend of science and sociology makes for a great read if you`re into sci-fi or just like pondering those pesky existential questions, like Fermi`s paradox and our role in the universe.
Ain't I a Woman by bell hooks
Water Moon by Samantha Soto Yambao. It's a slow start so far but the story line seems promising so I'll see it through.
I'm also reading The Dirty Life by Kristin Kimball. The idea of being a farmer has always sounded enticing but her book has allowed me to understand the realities of it. It's a very filthy but rewarding job that I'm probably not equipped for lol.
Mami Suzuki Private Eye by local author and writer-in-residence, Simon Rowe.

I always have a weird rotation going where I read what I'm in the mood for. Currently:
Butter - Asako Yuzuki
Doppelganger - Naomi Klein
It takes blood and guts - Skin
The Deluge - Stephen Markley
All the Lovers in the Night by Mieko Kawakami:)
Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
I love this one! So surprised no one has ever tried to make it into a movie. Enjoy!
The Wandering Earth by Liu Cixin
Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins

I just started reading it and I'm already loving it. I would totally watch the movie (if someone makes it!)
...Maybe even a bold mini-series instead of a movie to let it breathe.

@DRKSHDW All I know is now I have a craving for some roasted beets!😄
Motivating myself through 2666 by Roberto Bolaño, and taking some breaks away from it with Hit Parade of Tears by Izumi Suzuki.
Going through my Kazuo Ishiguro marathon and starting A Pale View of Hills, and it's starting great...only When We Were Orphans and The Unconsoled left to go!
Brushing up on my French, so reading Yasunari Kawabata`s Kyoto in French.
