i have an aching need to smell like a rustic sauna in a cottage surrounded by a thick pine forest during the rain (like if u know u know) !!! basically wood scents? warm, comfortable, like a spa but not one of those white pristine ones but a dim one with wood walls and green towels and all that. i also really love tea and the way it smells, esp green tea but i feel like tea scents can also be sour(?) which is not what i'm after, if there's a sweeter tea scent then thats it, think tea with like heaps of honey in it. i smelled arber at the body shop and felt like it had a little bit of that vibe but i'd like something that actually stays on my skin lol. i've heard that hinoki by comme des garçons is basically made to be a sauna scent but i havent found a way to get my hands on a sample quite yet. i live in europe so i have difficulty with indie brands as well, shipping here is usually unavailable or expensive af. im super new to fragrances so i dont think i can really describe what i want well but i would love some help or general direction on what scent profiles etc to gravitate towards? made a little moodboard to try and describe what i mean lmao
how can i smell like a sauna
Easy! Stash Eau de Parfum Elixir it is
Check out Hinoki & Cedarwood!
This you may already know, but: The Ritual of Hammam, when used with their complementing body products (shower-gel, body cream) it will project well. Could be just a little too 'white' though, I find it hard to judge from what you describe and can be so personal, but it certainly smells like a Sauna.
Oh and I once read someone describing Orphéon Eau de Parfum as 'a steamy bath in the woods, surrounded by pine trees' on an other website...I wouldn't come up with this myself, but that may be because I've never done such a thing
. But I'd advise you to sample it first, since it is expensive.
thank you so much everyone 😽❤️ i'll check these out !!!! i appreciate this so much
Moikka @ghibli, so nice to see a fellow Finn here! 👋😁 Have you already tried our national perfumer Max Perttula's fragrances? If you're into a rantasauna/juhannussauna type thing, Finlandeol is just perfect, or if you want savusauna, then try
Smoke Sauna. Max Joacim Cosmetics have their own website selling all their fragrances for very decent price, and if you live near Helsinki or happen to visit there, you can also test them in Mall&Mall Helsinki or Espoo.

Yay, awesome! 🤩🙌 I wish you will enjoy his fragrances, they are my all time favourites. Super original but affordable and very underrated. It's such a shame that the perfume culture in Finland is so lame that majority of Finns don't really appreciate or even know that we have a super talented perfumer of our own and he is not well known in our country at all. I actually wrote about it in my blog article. He has visited Huomenta Suomi a couple of times lately though, I think you can watch his interviews in Finnish for free at MTV Katsomo if you're interested. ☺️ Also since you said you're new to fragrances, if you want to talk about perfumes in Finnish or Swedish or need recommendations or advice etc., you can PM me anytime! 🥰
try nonfiction in the shower 🚿 🚿

You should smell the whole Aesop line and see if any strike a chord, tbh

Kiitoksia! 👍
