i cant smell violet 0

okay idk why.

i have no idea what violet smells like, although I do smell iris/orris strongly.

are there any violet scents with no iris you can recommend? i have trouble picking it out at all, and its supposedly similar to iris.

i tried Casamorati - Dama Bianca Eau de Parfum and i only smell the weird kumquat. i also tried Cheirosa '59 and it just smells like butter. i had L'Eau d'Issey Solar Violet but I believe I only smelled iris in it.

Perhaps Balenciaga Paris would work for you? If I'm not mistaken, you're looking for the kind of floral powdery clean/fresh smell of violet, but rest assured, I'm not a violet expert! Check the reviews on this one, and see if it helps.

Hello ! You will probably always smell iris in violet, since their scents have a lot of molecules in common (violet scent is reconstituted in perfumery anyway, you can't extract its smell from the plant for industrial purposes).

For a violet with no root, no powder, and so, less iris, maybe you can get your nose on Féérie, by Van Cleef and Arpelshttps://www.parfumo.com/Perfum...

I know it's discontinued, but it's really reminiscent of violet candy to me and not at all of iris. I heard Violette from Berdoue is a nice cheapish violet that leans in the same direction.

ps - sorry, I looked for a while, but I have no idea how to insert perfumes in the message 😅

Hi, to instert perfumes in your comments you type: # then you type the name of your perfume and then some choices appear of which you can choose (and click on) the one you mean to show.

Hello, I would recomment Insolence Eau de Parfum there is some Iris in it too, but if you can't smell violet in there, I wouldn't know what to recomment...a very strong violet scent Smile.

Violetta di Parma

La Violette

Accordo Viola

Violette Eau de Parfum

These actually really smell like violet, not like some weird, strident, ozonic, aseptic vintage powder.

I concur. This is an *intense* violets fragrance. It’s like getting slapped by a bouquet of violets on steroids. The EdT and EdP are so strong I can smell them, with the lids on from feet away. At first I found them to be too strange for me but I’m beginning to enjoy. They were the only fragrances I have I could even remotely smell when I had COVID anosmia. I would spray them all over myself for a fleeting anything and I used them to retrain my brain to recognize scents.
