I noticed that Parfumo gave us a "year in review", so I thought that there should be a thread where we can share them all.
This was my first year using Parfumo (only started about two months ago) and it told me that I have a preference for sweet, gourmand, and fruity perfumes, and that I have the nose of a 4 year-old 😭
If it makes you feel any better, I’m pretty sure they determined the age based on the average release year of your fragrances. I know I got an age of 12 because the average release year for my selection was 2013. (And yes, I was shocked that 2013 was in fact, 12 years ago!)
Now, that’s not to say a 4 year old or a 12 year old can’t have good taste in perfume…

Sounds about right. And the olfactory age of a 6 years old. That's fine by me, I like modern perfumery over classics anyway, most stuff older dan 2012 smells outdated to me.

Earthy doesn’t really explain it I think, I just like woods and spices. And my perfume age is 31. A bit older than I am. I like vintage scents - I think they’re so interesting because they were produced in a completely different cultural context and so they’re like time machines back to a certain period.
It's a fun little feature, even if it's not very accurate. At least based on "Brand Vibes" page, which includes brands from my wishlist whose fragrances I am yet to get my hands on and test.
If it includes everything a person ever added to any of the lists in their collection – that would explain why "fruity" is so high up in mine, lol.
I don't think there's any value in knowing the average release year, but I think it's a fun little insight into my personal style. I definitely haven't been putting in the work for full reviews, just quick notes and marking things off as tested, but I do agree that I'm probably on the more critical side of things when it comes to reviews!
