linear, dark mysterious

beautiful fragrance, a real rosey oud hit! its very high quality and the longevity is wild, unfortunately im not a big rose guy so i might need to give this a pass. despite everything its a brilliant dark fragrance, true date night or late night meeting worthy scent. ive owned aoud by roja and own la fille de berlin, on a scale between those two this is definetly towards aoud but i find it a bit more refined suprisingly. if you ever wanted to smell like youre wearing a vampire halloween outfit this is also very applicable.

In conclusion, this scent is very widely available and to be honest very basic, HOWEVER its the best ive smelt for this basic profile and if you love dark deep intimate roses id highly encourage you to try this

Linear Rose Bomb

My first impressions of this scent isn't exactly great. Rose fragrances are a dime a dozen so most of the time it's a been there and done that scenario. This fragrance is no different as it is a rose bomb that is pretty linear to me so I was really disappointed. I think the whole Rose themed fragrances is way overdone at this point especially Rose and Oud combinations. This one reminded me of Mancera Black to Black but if I am going to pick one I would go with the Mancera before this one and not only from a price point perspective but a fragrance one. I am going to let my bottle macerate as some of the Argos fragrances get better with age and the individual notes become more pronounced.

If you are a fan of rose fragrances definitely get a sample but I would pick one of the Zaharoff Rose offerings or the Mancera Black to Black before this one.

With sparkling eyes

Charon means with sparkling eyes in German.
The term originates from both Greek and Roman mythology and describes the figure of the old and gloomy ferryman who takes the dead across the river to the realm of the underworld by boat for a fee. To Hades.

Interesting and very demanding name for a fragrance.
How should such a figure be represented in a fragrance, especially worn for show?
But Charon's Veil has nothing to do with dark accents. The fragrance is certainly not morose. Not even warm. Not burning. And certainly not sparkling. Unfortunately, the bottle doesn't match the contents either. Here you expect power, fire and something forbidden, but unfortunately what you get is a plastic rose fragrance with which you can confidently perform for the everyday choir in the local church.

But let's start from the beginning. A rather sizzling rose awaits me as soon as I apply it, with a rough structure in the background, as if it had risen from the ashes like a phoenix. The rough structure consists of leather and sticky, watery notes. Leather, pushed through the river and the everyday dirt washed off a little. To the gate of the underworld. Yes, the one and only could fit if you bring Charons on board. Literally.

Over time, the fragrance becomes extremely dull, almost clumsy. The rose is very plastic, faltering, not even remotely flowing, embracing both the heart and the soul of the fragrance. It is sweetly sweet on the edges, slightly woody, minimally bulky. There is also a hint of damp earth in the fragrance, which makes the whole thing even less exciting and more lost. I can still detect some pepper, but after a while everything sinks into a fog of plastic roses.

What else can I say? That for me, it is the absolute worst Argos. I don't see the scent on women at all. But not on men either. Maybe a little more, because it seems so dull. But a lot of things don't harmonize here. Rose was and is very often a difficult subject for me, here everything kicks me off because it doesn't even smell good. It all seems so lost, like the poor souls being transported in a boat.

Only the longevity and sillage are worth mentioning. It lasts. Although it is muffled, it is very present. The design of the bottle may be bold and interesting, but that's about it.
