1950's chic for modern times
Dolceaqua is how I imagine Chanel No.5 should smell to be considered a contemporary perfume. The acquatic notes give it a freshness and modernity that then slightly segways into the "classic" zone thanks to the predominant lily of the valley, which to me, is kind of old school.
Dolceaqua is somewhere on the cusp between the past and the present and requires a woman who knows how to wear it, because I don't see it as an easy scent that goes with jeans and a T-shirt. If Audrey Hepburn would be alive and young today, I can see her wearing Dolce Aqua. I'm not just saying this because the bottle label sports that Audrey headscarf and sunglasses chic, but because I see Dolceaqua as a 1950's perfume reinvented for today.
An interesting fragrance, if you like lily of the valley, a description that does not represent me.
Dolceaqua este cum îmi închipui că Chanel No.5 ar trebui să miroasă ca să poată fi considerat un parfum contemporan. Notele acvatice îi conferă o prospețime și modernitate care totuși virează un pic în regiunea "clasic" datorită lăcrimioarelor, care cel puțin pentru mine, sunt cam old school. Dolceaqua este undeva la periferia între trecut și prezent, și necesită o femeie specială care să știe cum să îl poarte, pentru că nu e o aromă care merge cu blugi și tricouri. Dacă Audrey Hepburn ar fi tânără acum, eu cred că ar purta Dolceaqua. Si nu spun asta doar pentru că sticla are acel Audrey ochelari de soare cu eșarfă chic, dar pentru că îl percep ca pe un parfum din 1950's reinventat pentru zilele noastre.
Interesant, dacă îți plac parfumuri florale dominate de lăcrimioare, o descripție care nu mă reprezintă.
