Elixir of Sweetness²
Disclaimer: I must mention that I am not familiar with the original Erba Pura.
Like all my other fragrances, this is also a blind buy.
When the fragrance arrived and I sprayed it on a test strip for the first time and briefly left the room, I was really surprised when I came back - the entire room was filled with something that I could only describe as women's perfume. My first impression: This is 100% feminine. Not unisex, not slightly feminine - definitely a women's perfume, very strongly reminiscent of Romamor or Black Opium Eau de Parfum.
Strangely enough, I found it to be a very beautiful perfume. Sweet, powdery, difficult to break down into individual notes, but very pleasant. I can very well imagine that it will get even better with further aging. After about 20 - 30 minutes, the drydown sets in - and that’s when it really hit me: I know this scent! I have smelled it so many times but could never place it. The scent was 100% familiar to me, even though I have never tested Erba Pura.
The drydown is phenomenal: warm, sweet vanilla paired with amber - a smooth blend. What is truly impressive is how affordable this fragrance is, considering its strength and beautiful character.
Vanilla and amber as base notes in combination are simply heavenly!
Price-performance: 10/10 (one of the best price-performance ratios I know)
Scent: 9/10
Blind buy safe? If you are not familiar with Erba Pura and are more of an Encre Noire Eau de Toilette type (like me), then it is not blind buy safe.
If you like sweet fragrances: 100% yes.
