Shelf life is underground
Smells animalistic

It almost seems to me that Mr. Gebauer has overestimated his followers.

After several mainstream-suitable releases, which sold themselves primarily through the brute durability and projection brought about by the massive use of ambrocenides, a fragrance with normal performance is now being released. 4-6 hours with moderate sillage is of course disappointing for the 24-hour Beastmode followers who go from "Top 10 Longest Lasting Fragrances" to "Top 10 Panty Droppers" and discuss the latest Erba Pura, Orange Flamingo or Air Tiger releases in the schoolyard or at university, "I still smelled it after three showers".

If durability is the most important selling point, and this trend seems to be progressing among young men between the ages of 15-25, Marc Gebauer has to accept the question of whether he hasn't ultimately spoiled his loyal following himself.

Now let's get one thing straight: Arabian Cherry's performance is completely normal. Yes. You heard me right. NORMAL. I spray this fragrance on, regularly getting the scent in my nose in wafts. it lasts 4-6 hours. That's not bottomless but simply normal. You may not like it. Feel free to reach for Carbonnel's next Ambro bombs and be happy when the room smells of your floral scent for three days. This is real life.

And the cowshed? Well. When you buy an oud fragrance and then wonder why it has oud in it, it amuses me. This fragrance is very subtle as far as oud is concerned. In no way is it animalistic. But again, we are back to Erba Pura and Orange Flamingo. If you only know sweet fruit and floral fragrances and think that oud smells like Oud Wood Eau de Parfum, then you should perhaps look into the product a little more before writing such unfounded comments here. I also don't buy Latte Pistachio if I hate pistachios. What irony. It's not the fragrance's fault that you don't know these notes.

For me, the fragrance is primarily a pleasant rose/oud scent with an, admittedly somewhat synthetic, cherry note that spreads sweetly in the opening but relatively quickly makes way for the rose/oud combination. Oud comes across very nicely woody. Not animalic or smelly. Finally, the whole thing rests on a sandalwood-musk base, which makes the fragrance dry creamy. I like it very much. Super pleasant to wear!

I can understand if you find the fragrance too synthetic and would have liked a natural cherry. But I find it amusing to devalue the fragrance because of its oud or to label its longevity as "bottomless". Grow up!

Pampers with cherry flavor
Unfortunately, it smells like Pampers from a child with lactose stools mixed with a few sour cherries or the lollipops you bought from the kiosk as a child. Very animalistic. Sillage is also really weak for such a heavy fragrance. Too bad. The notes do not reflect the actual fragrance. The bottle looks very nice. Overall a letdown.

High potential, catastrophic implementation
Unfortunately, I already know that all the Gebauer supporters with their fan glasses will pull up the general rating. Here you have an honest review, from a Gebauer "fan" without fan glasses.

The fragrance itself is a real success: A sweet-tart cherry note is in the foreground, harmoniously rounded off by soft musk and a discreetly used oud. Elegant, not too intrusive - actually a perfume with great potential.

But what good is the most beautiful fragrance if you practically don't notice it? Unfortunately, the sillage is a total failure. Despite five sprays on the same spot, the fragrance remains so close to the skin that you don't even notice it from a distance of 5-10 cm.

The price is particularly audacious in this context: over €270 for a performance that has to hide behind many a drugstore perfume. It's almost more worthwhile reaching for a DM fragrance - at least there you know what you're getting.

This is particularly disappointing as Marc Gebauer was originally celebrated for its strong performance - both in terms of sillage and longevity. This was exactly what won over many buyers. But since the last three releases, things have only gone downhill.

For me, "Arabian Cherry" was definitely the last perfume I ordered in the pre-sale. Too bad about the beautiful fragrance experience - but without a noticeable presence, this is no longer a fully-fledged perfume for me.

Lost Cherry in the cowshed...
I now have almost 200 fragrances and I have really never had a reaction from anyone around me. Neither positive nor negative. I constantly see clips on YouTube with fragrances that are supposed to bring compliments - it doesn't work for me. Too bad about all that money.
But then came Arabian Cherry. At first I thought it was nothing. But then I realized that it was the first fragrance that my environment reacted to: "You stink". I've heard that several times. And my wife avoids me. THANK YOU. At last.
- Oh well? - what the fragrance smells like: it says so. Cherry with oud.

The dark side of the cherry
Arabian Cherry is a striking fragrance that makes its presence felt from the very first moment. Immediately after spraying it on, a sweet cherry note unfolds, intense, slightly tart and striking, but not playful. The sweetness is deliberately orchestrated and forms a contrast to the dark base.

Right from the start, an animalic oud accompanies the fruity top note. It is not smoky, but warm, earthy and with a clearly recognizable animalic depth that gives the fragrance an almost demanding effect. This combination of sweet cherry and animalic oud gives Arabian Cherry a certain heaviness and complexity that clearly sets it apart from classic fruit fragrances.

The fragrance is sophisticated, oriental and provocative, in my opinion not for beginners or fans of light everyday fragrances. The presence of the oud makes it more of a fragrance for experienced noses who are familiar with strong, multi-faceted fragrances.

The longevity for me is between 10-12 hours and ensures that the fragrance accompanies me throughout the day or night without any problems.

Conclusion: Arabian Cherry is not a pleasing mainstream fragrance. It is loud, present and full of character. The combination of sweet, sour cherry and animalic oud creates a powerful, oriental statement with real recognition value.
