B-lister celebrity scent in the wrong packaging
This had some great reviews when it was freshly released, so I got curious, even though 4711 is not a brand I'm usually drawn to. Now the rating has dropped off to 6.3 and I'm not surprised.
Remix Electric Night smells similar to a lot of other drugstore fragrances. If someone let me sniff this blindly and told me this was by some B-list celeb, I wouldn't doubt it. Actually that would be more fitting than the 4711 line. It tries hard to smell like a designer fragrance, but doesn't succeed. If you love 4711 for their colognes, summer freshies, citrus and unisex scents, you can easily skip this one. I tried it precisely because it is different from the usual 4711 fragrances, but I'm not sure it's any better.
So, what does it smell like? I'd say blackcurrant and peony are the most prominent notes, but honestly, any kind of berry note and rose instead of peony would describe it just as well. It's a typical pink fruity floral, if you know what I mean. A touch of vanilla to make it sweeter, a dash of citrus in the top notes, a slight touch of powdery lipstick that you can only sense if you know it's supposed to be there, and there you go. It doesn't smell bad, but a bit too undefined and jumbled, a bit too sour, a bit too much like a random body care product.
In my opinion this is not a nighttime scent and far from electrifying. It would work best for casual daytime use, if anything.
I don't know why anyone would vote this as similar to CH Good Girl. While Good Girl has lots of dupes nowadays, it still has its own distinct character, which this one is completely missing.
