A delicious fruit cocktail...

... to drink at a beach bar with friends. The sun shines down on the water. We sit under a palm tree on the loungers and dig our bare feet into the sand. Simply a wonderful day.

Upon application, the nose first encounters a fruity fresh note that merges with
aquatic, floral, and plum accords. A hint of wood follows, and the musk makes it slightly creamy.

The longevity and sillage are average.

Here we have another lovely unisex fragrance that can be worn well as an all-rounder during the day in spring and summer.

For those who enjoy a fruity fresh scent, this is a great fragrance.

Forgotten perfume? Quick trip to the drugstore

Remix? Well, it has relatively little to do with the regular 4711.

The opening is beautifully summery-fruity, but not really, as expected, citrus-fruity. The watermelon comes through, and there’s just a nice warm summery vibe, with an exotic touch.
It lacks depth, and the fragrance pyramid is rather misleading. Most of what’s listed there is not detectable. For some, it might be too unisex or feminine.
Furthermore, it does come across as somewhat synthetic. Despite everything, I think it gets a bit of a bad rap here. I see it more as a refreshing splash that you spray on in between. I mean, €11.99. Comparing this to a designer fragrance makes little sense, and it is also an Eau de Cologne. Longevity is also limited, and yes, it’s certainly nothing groundbreaking. But, as I said, I find the scent uncomplicatedly fruity-summery, which you can't go wrong with. You can definitely throw it in your backpack for a trip to the outdoor pool. Especially the drydown is gentle but very pleasant and lasts quite a long time for a cologne. Whether it radiates far and wide is of course questionable, but I’m sure I would like it on a woman. However, I didn’t feel the need to absolutely take it with me. It could be a good starter fragrance for the youth.

A Lot of Room for Improvement

Finally, a tester for the already established fragrance in my local drugstore. I was really looking forward to the new scent, but nothing happens for me without a test. Especially since 4711 always plays the dice game of hit or miss, and I don’t like blind purchases. The last fragrances from the Remix series were unfortunately a miss, and this one is too. What a pity.

The beginning is not like Grandma's 4711, the classic, but rather a bit of lemon reminiscent of Klopray from the discount store. Quickly softened after a very short time with watermelon. I was waiting for blossoms, a fresh bitterness, and plums, but it leaned more towards leaves that were slightly musty and stale. Yet, it also had a strangely chemical quality. Then came a dampening effect from musk, which overshadowed the rest. But not for long, as the scent quickly became extremely faint again. I expected a fresh, slightly citrusy bitter summer fragrance, but no, that was nothing. There is still a lot of room for improvement. For me, something is missing that gives it the kick.

This fragrance will surely find its followers. But not me. I don’t want to walk around with the fragrance bottle all the time and keep reapplying.
