The best and most luxurious white musk on the market
A creamy, powdery oil that slips right onto the skin without any tackiness or stickiness. It smells like clean skin, cream soda, vanilla ice cream, and warm, folded cashmere blankets straight from the laundry basket. Beautiful on its own, I also wear it layered under sharp rose oils or even darker musks and ambers to give whatever I'm wearing a soft, musky undertone. I love that I can wear it on its own or as a fixative for other scents. I am about thirty samples into my exploration of ASAQ, Arabian Oud, and Amouage attars and CPOs - but I always 'come home' to this one.

Actually, this was the CPO that got me interested in the whole Arabian oil area. A couple of Muslim chaps on Facebook posted about wearing this (and the ASAQ body musk cubes) during Eid, and that got me interested. One little tola of this later and I am in deep with the Arabian oils. Please, please, please - do yourselves a favour and get a sample of this musk to try. I've tried many a white musk, and this one is by far the best out there. For anybody who loves creamy, clean musk fragrances like Serge Lutens' Clair de Musc, give this one a try and you won't ever look back. Also, a drop in your bath is amazing too.

Body musk ASQ
This oil is a masterpiece. I am a collector of white musk and this one is the best I came across. Most of arabian white musks are very sticky on the skin, this one is not much. As for the fragrance itself its a clean fluffy innocence. It starts as white luxurious floral soap,as time passes start to become more powdery sweet , but not over sweet. I really don't know how its achieved but it smells like skin that was just washed in triple milled white luxurious soap scented of Chanel 5 . I believe I am hooked on this fragrance for ever. As someone who already uses Chanel 5 I found excellent layering companion to it .

Cuddle me
The cleanest scent out there. Apply after showering (after you drie off), the musk will turn into “oil” and you will smell all day long like fresh cotton (hard to describe this heavenly fresh scent). One thing is for sure...you will be noticed & you might even be cuddled by people because of the osooo fresh/clean/innocent scent!! 11/10!!!

The Slightly Different Skin Cream
Parfumo is for perfume, not for cosmetics. With Arabic products, you have to think differently. In addition to perfume oils and sprays, Arabic manufacturers also offer perfume creams. AbuSafiyya kindly sent me a small amount of Body Musk. He describes it in his post as oil - for me, the light paste has more of the consistency of a skin cream.

And not only the consistency, but especially the scent! I smell a light musk here, one that you have encountered so often in various creams but never really paid attention to. It's slightly soapy and powdery-soft with a hint of flowers - just creamy! I wouldn't call Body Musk a "detergent"; it smells far too refined for that.

It's a topsy-turvy world! Cosmetic manufacturers want to entice us to buy their products with seemingly rational arguments. I'm supposed to buy the new cream because my skin is too dry, too oily, or too wrinkled. In such cases, not only do I tune out, but I can count on one hand the occasions when I actually bought a cream. I purchased Penaten cream because it's very helpful for minor wounds (lasts forever!). Otherwise, I've bought Tiger Balm once or twice, and on a cycling tour, I bought a camphor-containing ointment - and solely because it smelled so good - for no other reason!

What can be said about an industry that addresses primarily the fears, guilt, and lack of self-esteem of its customers in its advertising messages? I'm not an advertising professional, but isn't it obvious that the - hopefully - largest part of potential customers isn't even being addressed?

The Arabic perfume manufacturers seem to do it quite differently. Here, joy takes precedence over frustration! A perfume cream is seemingly bought exclusively because one likes the scent. Any additional cosmetic effects are accepted as a bonus. Which Western cosmetic company places the pleasant scent of its creams and ointments - and thus joy and culture - at the forefront? No, worn down, anxious, and embittered by physical shortcomings, the customer is supposed to take a bitter medicine - how can one even enjoy the scent of a cosmetic product in such a mindset?

Of course, a perfume can have any possible consistency; that's not so crucial. Body Musk is nothing exotic-new, yet it smells much finer than the meager scent additions of so many other creams. And you get exactly what the name promises. For me, that's a bit lacking, especially since I'm not a big fan of musk cream. But my Oud experiments from yesterday still linger due to their monstrous longevity, and the combination is not to be underestimated. A tiny spritz of a good Arabic Oud perfume would give this simple musk significantly more substance. Since both are simple things, layering this time doesn't threaten to create a scent chaos. I could imagine Body Musk as a kind of softener in an Oud collection. However, on its own, Body Musk is too simple for me.

Not just clean, but pure! :-)
What more can I say about this great white musk?
So much soap and soooo much beautiful soap at once ;)

This white musk from ASAQ is advertised as a purely plant-based musk according to zahras.com, and that's probably the reason for the price.... 3ml is available for just under €20.

When I smell it, it reminds me a lot of laundry detergent... of fabric softener, and there’s also a slightly sour, chlorinated note that stands out. Additionally, I think I can perceive a slightly metallic note in the background, a complete, soapy white musk indeed.... I love it :)

I have no comparison to well-known white musks like those from The Body Shop, so I can't say much about that aspect. Nevertheless, the Body Musk or Misku-l Jism from ASAQ will certainly be of a higher quality than that from The Body Shop.

The consistency of the fragrance is also very interesting; it’s almost a milky lump in the bottle, very firm and a bit sticky.

I find it hard to use further words for this scent, as it is quite a simple fragrance (just white musk) and describing it is a matter of individual perception.

I can imagine wearing it on anyone and for any occasion, whether at work (in the office), in the evening, or in my free time; it’s just a very universal scent! Definitely unisex without leaning towards the feminine or masculine side!

Even though the price of around €80/12ml is a bit high, you get high-quality, pure musk oil for it, which is definitely worth every cent.

I give ASAQ 100% for this! Even though the longevity (on the skin about 8~10 hours) is not as strong as its "stronger brother" (Misk Mutasalik, which has a stronger animalistic note and is therefore also more noticeable for longer), the Body Musk is such a beautiful feel-good scent that I also like to use for sleeping ;)

Unfortunately, my 3ml bottle is slowly running out... need.... new... STUFF! :)
Anyone who likes white musk and wants to test this one should be prepared for some "budget breaks" in their account, as this scent is addictive and wears off quickly since you can't get enough of it :)

If someone really wants to test this Body Musk from ASAQ, they can go to the supermarket and find a shower cream from Palmolive: "Koko&Moisture Milk." When my sister brought this home, I thought: Wow, she found my favorite musk as a shower gel, and I just used it without asking... I didn't get in trouble for that ;)

It’s 99% the same scent; you just have to imagine the Body Musk in a higher concentration ;)

After sauna sessions, I slathered on the delicately scented floral cream and snuggled into bed. Caution, extreme nibbling danger - beautiful!

Clear, clean musk without any off-note. More creamy than powdery and despite its purity, it has a delicate scent of warm skin.
