Good for the price
Clean, soapy and floral fragrance with a touch of grapes. A very simple composition with good performance on my skin.
My first impression was like I was smelling and old lady, but with time I start to appreciate The Black a lot more. Its lightness works perfectly on summer.
If you can buy it for $20 it is a bargain.

Fruity woody
Al Hajar Al Aswad is a exotic fragrance.

Opens with a huge grape note surrounded by some herbals and stays this way for a long time.

After some hours (3 or 4) i can smell a great wood note in the background that remains untill the fragrance fades away.

I cant identify which wood note is that, not too dark nor light, it's very unusual, maybe it's the palm tree.

Also there's a light oud in the composition that is present all the time.

Definately a exotic fragrance that's worth trying. Unisex.

Heavenly Lightness …
I’ll be honest: this fragrance is pure elegance in liquid form!

As soon as the scent touches the skin, it creates a feeling of purity and tranquility, as if one has just emerged from a clear spring. Black grape, bergamot, and delicate aquatic nuances give it an almost heavenly lightness that lies like a gentle veil of light on the skin.

Then this delicate, powdery veil of iris, lavender, and vanilla unfolds, resting on the skin like the finest silk dust. And when oud and sandalwood join in, everything becomes warm, creamy, and incredibly noble. It smells expensive, well-groomed, and calm.

And the best part? Despite its softness, it has presence. A very shy extrait de parfum that disguises itself as an eau de toilette.

For me, The Black is the oud fragrance for all seasons! Fresh in summer, calming in winter, elegant all year round.

And to be honest: can this really just be an eau de toilette???

Fruity-Dark Oud - quite different yet extremely oriental
my next Al Qurashi is under scrutiny, but I am somewhat torn. I have a similar fragrance oil that I greatly appreciate, which is significantly cheaper. In this one, the main fragrance notes are Oud, Patchouli, and Rose - I could swear that a generous amount of Rose has been used here. The quality of the Oud seems wonderful, but it appears comparable to the cheaper fragrance oil from Oud al Anfar. One difference is the fruity nuances that make the scent extremely beautiful for me. I don’t know how Hagedorn smells; I don’t perceive black grape. For me, it could perhaps be rosehip or sea buckthorn. Not very sweet yet intense, natural, and fruity. This makes the scent feel a bit less heavy, a bit more lively. Beautiful, very oriental - but not sufficient for the Al Qurashi pricing, that’s how I feel.

Fleeting light oud scent with, I believe, rose or flowers? I like it!
