Familiar cotton candy scent
Another member of the Pink Sugar family! This is definitely quite close to the Aquolina gourmand classic. Like the name lets you know, it's quite heavy on the strawberry, and it also has some musk in the base. But at its core, this is a cotton candy fragrance. Sweet, sweet, sweet. It has that toasty, freshly caramelized sugar scent, but it doesn't have the licorice and the burned notes that make the original Pink Sugar somewhat polarizing.
It gradually goes from fruity to musky-vanillic over the duration of the scent, which is not a huge twist by any standard, but always enjoyable. Sadly I don't get any of the listed nuts, even far in the drydown.
To my nose, Strawberry Musk is more enjoyable than Pink Sugar, but honestly, many of the dupes are. Just not a fan of the burnt, cough-syrupy vibes in that one. And I like the strawberry note here!
If you want a cotton candy funfair gourmand type of scent that is a little smoother than Pink Sugar, this is a nice choice. My personal favorites of this genre are others though: Al-Rehab Soft (lemony, musky and super affordable) and Place de Lices Rose au Sucre (powdery and a bit floral).
