Is pretty much exactly what it should be...

...I can't answer whether it is what it claims to be. I don't know Haltane, but I am an avowed Oud for Greatness fan. Eco doesn't have much in common with it.

The fragrance starts fresh, bergamot and lavender come out clearly, almost fougere. Gradually, saffron and oud and a sweet note become more and more present. All very synthetic but not pungent. In terms of quality, it is in no way inferior to Bade'e Al Oud - Oud for Glory and Supremacy in Oud, but it is the first (that I know of) replica of Haltane. This is often touted as a more wearable version of the OFG. To each his own.

After about 2 hours of wear, the freshness is completely gone, leaving the familiar sweet saffron/oud mixture in the air. The fresh aspects make it a good alternative to the other two cheapies. The whole thing then lasts quite a while and is very present with 2 test sprays on the hand.

In my opinion, the bottle and sprayer have been improved compared to Détour Noir and appear somewhat more sophisticated, but are still very special.

Overall, quite a nice fragrance, but not special enough to have it in the collection in addition to one of the above. I'll stick with the OFG myself.

This one may go on.
