Montale Aoud Rose Petals in a cheap way
Aseel has a lot of similarities with Montale Aoud Rose Petals. Actually they're almost twins.

Aseel is a bit less spicy than Montale and in my opinion smells a bit better.

It's mostly roses, aoud and some florals with a drop of spices.

In my opinion there's only a few sweetness here. Unisex.

This was a hiddem gem for me. Good projection, lasting power and sillage.

The best of Al-Rehab line and obviously worth its price.

PS: the EDT is a bit sweeter than the oil and also it has a weaker lasting power.

Screechy rose-oud-musk
Aseel is a potent rose-oud fragrance with a soapy white musk doing most of the heavy lifting in the background. The opening is dominated by the metallic sharpness of rose geraniol and the taunting acidity of saffron. The sharp medicinal twang of the Montale oudy aromachemical is clearly recognizable here: lovers of Black Aoud and Aoud Musk might want to check this out.

The rubbery oud, the saffron, and the green rose are all stacked up front, like boobs in a Wonder Bra. The denouement, as it so often happens in these cases, is a disappointment – a vast expanse of clean, cottony musk and little else. It smells like laundry detergent straight from the bag, but also exotic in a broad, Disneyfied way. Eventually, the roar of the musk dies back somewhat, allowing a scratchy rosy amber to peek through. My husband wears it.

Attar des Roses
An attar is a quite strongly scented, mostly Arabic perfume oil. And this one from Al Rehab truly deserves the attribute "Attar."
It is neither a copy of Creed, Montale, or scents from other expensive brands nor a wannabe niche fragrance. It stands on its own, and I have never smelled roses like this before. The hint of Bulgarian roses is unmistakable. With a warm, dark vanilla base. I cannot perceive anything "caramel-like." However, there are "noble woods" like sandalwood or a variant of oud. Patchouli or something similar should not be missing either. There is also a very pleasant sweetness. Pleasant because it is in balanced harmony with the more bitter scents. Nothing in Aseel is cloying or sticky like in many other rose fragrances. One waits in vain for a "thick ending" à la "Front nice, back ugly," especially if someone has a cheap scent in mind. The longer Aseel lingers, the more beautiful the expression of the perfume becomes. And it lasts a very long time! Just like an "Attar des Roses"! Well done, Al Rehab!

I can't make sense of it!
As I already mentioned in the comment on "SULTAN," "ASEEL" doesn't smell great to me.

It comes across like a mix of floor disinfectant and industrial solvent based on turpentine.

On the other hand, my father-in-law - who had to serve as a guinea pig during the presentation of my latest acquisitions - expressed himself quite positively and favorably about the fragrance development. And this, even though he isn't really "at home" in the world of fragrances (or maybe precisely because of that?!)

After a while, the "industrial cleaner" somehow develops into an old desk on me.

So I'm currently imagining the manufacturing process!
Once upon a time, there was an old desk that served an artist as a surface for creating 2374 charcoal drawings in A3 format.

The graphite/charcoal remnants penetrated the old wood and were preserved there.
Many years later, the entire desk was transported to a damp cellar and fell into oblivion for dozens of years.
A few months after its rediscovery, it was aired out in a huge warehouse, evaporated and distilled, mixed with oil & turpentine, and bottled by Al-Rehab :)

This is not meant to be a slam!
Since I at least know one person who can actually appreciate this scent, I will give the brew another chance in the summer!

Bulgarian Rose
Aseel smells extremely of Bulgarian rose in my eyes. It reminds me
a lot of "Fleur de Bulgarie" by Creed.
Those who like dry rose scents will probably enjoy this.
However, the fragrance is not for the general public
and is quite polarizing. For this price, it should be very difficult to find a comparable scent. Rose enthusiasts can confidently go for it. I find it simply wonderful. There is even
a room fragrance of it, and that for a small price.
I am always amazed at the quality this house offers at affordable prices.
But again, it is not a mainstream fragrance!

Rose incense with oud and a strong soapy scent. I personally don't get any vanilla or caramel notes.

A beautiful perfume oil between the Orient and Occident. I can't understand the current rating of 7. Unisex but not too Arabic.
