Designer keeps the little toe in niche waters
Velvet Honey Santal initially presents a well-rounded fragrance. It is not overpowering and settles calmly and evenly on the skin.
The impression from the first test is actually very predictable after a glance at the straightforward fragrance notes. Soft honey, yellow, not golden, is in the foreground and melts into warm wood. A pleasant fragrance that fits well with the current start of autumn. It remains suitable for everyday use. Not too sweet, not too dry. A good companion for work and leisure time.
But what strikes me is that it is only as I have described it so far. Very straightforward and, how can I say it, lacking depth. Honey can also be more intense and have more character.
But it doesn't necessarily need that. I think many will like it just the way it is. Because its effect is similar to that of a molecular fragrance: clinging and accentuating.
However, it is clearly too expensive for this effect.
For a designer, the fragrance ventures slightly into niche territory. However, it does so only to the extent that it remains accessible to the general public.
