I purchased Aqua by Avon as a blind buy because I was looking for a light and fresh scent for summer, without much fuss. My instinct for aquatic fragrances should not let me down.
Aqua starts off pleasantly watery fresh upon spraying and already hints at a very delicate woody-floral note as it develops. The watery freshness at the outset lingers only briefly in the nose before quickly making way for the woody-floral heart note, which rests on a soft light musk base. Everything is very lightly intertwined, the components interact gently with each other, bringing a certain airiness. Carefree, without much fuss, the sillage is quite subtle and unobtrusive. The scent is only perceptible as a lightly woody-creamy-soft fragrance close to the skin after about 3-4 hours. Very pleasant for summer. Avon has created a lovely light aquatic here that doesn’t clash anywhere. Since the fragrance is very affordable, one can easily reapply as needed.
