Do they have no ideas any more?

Since I was a teen I am knowing Avon-Fragrances. But I did not like them, except "Lilly of the Valley" and "Honeysuckle" Later and occassionally I smelled "Casbah" and judged it with surprise as a pleasant scent.
But "Beautiful Butterfly" seems to me to being just an artificial approach to something which is remembering faintly on a perfume. Yet a little bit like citrus and ambroxan, aquatically, a little bit greenish. And indeed I can not deny there is something creamy. A real "niche" and superfluous scent in a supermarkets shelf for very low-price perfums. The longevity is impressing. "Beautiful Butterfly" seems to be lasting and lasting. Avoiding to compare this smell with a lot of scents smelling similar like this I appeal: "Avon" you could have done your trade better!"

a flea market find

For the first time this year, I took the time to visit my favorite flea market where I have often found treasures. And indeed - next to a beautiful vase (with flowers and a gold rim) stands this inconspicuous blue bottle. At first, I was still skeptical, but there is this blog, and after a quick inquiry via smartphone, I entered into price negotiations and bought both. Aquate - well (not really my thing), but the mention of good longevity was decisive.
The actual practical test didn't really happen until much later.
A cautious spray on my wrist, and despite the rather cool temperature, it unfolds, and my enthusiasm grows. I never thought I could warm up to this fragrance direction. I muster the courage to re-examine similar fresh aquatics in my collection for their practicality, especially for spring/summer/high summer when I just want to refresh myself and not overwhelm my colleagues in the office with any (otherwise favored by me) vanilla monsters.

Rescue is on the way

Yesterday at the blistering flea market, my friend and I staggered with our last bit of strength to the fragrance stand and simultaneously reached for a bottle in promising ice blue.
Beautiful Butterfly.

And the scent not only promised coolness - it also delivered on that promise.

The nectarine is fruity and juicy, and the lily of the valley spreads freshness.
The woods are spicy, but not warm.
This butterfly invigorates with its soft wingbeat and settles lightly on the skin - because the longevity is surprisingly good for this transparent fragrance.
A beautiful, cheerful summer scent from Avon.
And at a very affordable price.

My friend gratefully flew into her wallet and happily took the fresh butterfly home.
