Hawaiian White Ginger Avon 1965 Cologne

One of the cheaper priced vintage perfumes to attain, and totally worth it. The version I own is in a splash container (a little pig with a bow on her head, to be exact), and it lasts a very long while, at least for around 6-7 hours. There is an aged aroma to my bottle but it doesn't impair the scent too much.
It is very rich and wholesome in scent; it isn't terribly strong but instead comes across a bit more velvet-like. The overall effect is very pleasant with notes of ginger, bamboo/grass, and lily. The quieter notes are a bit harder to detect because of how nicely the three main notes complement one another. It is definitely "green," pretty much the exact same green as the perfume itself. I cannot overstate how pleasant the ginger-lily-bamboo trio is.
I am sure that this perfume was born out of the "Tiki craze" from the 1950s-1960s, and Avon wanted to reflect that in a scent. In typical Avon fashion, there are plenty of beautiful decanters/bottles for this perfume, so any singular one would look beautiful in a perfume collection, such as the original psychedelic design, the whimsical pig with a bow, the sweet kitten with yarn... there are so many good containers! It is a very common vintage Avon scent on eBay, and worth checking out if you can find a good deal on it.
