Grandiose
I treated myself to a sample bag full of Avons - on one hand, these are the scents of my childhood - on the other hand, I remember them as pleasant and interesting.
Strangely enough, I found only a few comments about them - and they don't deserve that.
The scents in my "surprise bag" pleased me sometimes more, sometimes less - but there wasn't a real "failure" among them.
Actually, I liked them "more often".
And Oud Grandeur is among them.
I am picky with oud scents, as they often come across as too biting and resinous, standing out prominently.
That's why I was curious about Oud Grandeur.
However, it handles the oud softly and gently - yet I can detect a mild resinous quality.
The spices are gently blended in, and the lily shines brightly above.
Vanilla envelops the composition with a delicate sweetness - making the scent round and complete.
A fragrance that flows seamlessly - without disturbing edges or corners - very likeable and not boring at all.
A true "nose pleaser" that I stumbled upon by chance - and that has been caressing me all evening.
Music: A different Corner by George Michael - because the grandiose Grandeur also has romantic undertones.
