Good start
I bought this some years ago. I visited the local second hand shop, which I do quite often, since I love to find hidden gems; clothes, furniture or perfumes. I have been lucky sometimes. This time I found two Avons. Somewhere was one of them.
Somewhere is a scent from 1961. It has three dominant notes, a green, a floral and a musky. That is it. I have not been able to work out all the flowers, but I sense lily-of the valley and rose. The cypress note is lovely, combined with the flowers. After half an hour, when warmed up, the musky note comes forward and the scent stays like that for the rest of the time, which is two to three hours. Summing up on the scent, the beginning is best.
Being a bottle-o-maniac I must admit that I am not that impressed by the version I have. The top is covered with fake purple plastic rhinestones and the shape of the bottle gives me a teenage - maybe even a childish vibe. Perhaps that is intentional. I do not know who Avon saw as the audience for this, so maybe it is just spot on. Anyway, it is definitely not my taste.
This is not a scent I would buy again. I find it a bit unoriginal and perhaps even boring. Not the usual quality of Avon’s really good scents. But perhaps other parfumistas can find some quality in it… somewhere…
