Weak oud wood? Or week oud wood?
First sniff from this sample and .......wait a minute, something smells here like Tom Ford oud wood..
What is going on? What are the similar ingredients?
I search immediately and , wow....almost all ingredients are the same.....so that’s why
And now?
Wait again, why none mention on Tom ford oud wood review at similar perfumes section that secret mission smells like it?
So, lets ask my wife...
Rebecca! Come here please... what? The baby is crying? Ok ..... i will wait...again
After 15 minutes she was here. I had already read all the reviews..almost and I thought that i was the only one that have this impression
My wife was positive for similarities, she just said that at the beginning is more sweet and few minutes later is almost the same..
Cardamom is less? Who knows
Thank you sweetheart
About silage is really weak 4/10
About longevity is almost weak 5/10
About price is super... , even if you spray more and last only for a week.. 9/10
To be honest, Tom Ford oud wood is my signature perfume, so now im not sure if i have to reveal this gem (in case that i am right)
Im thinking what to do... publish my review or not?
I want to keep secret the secret mission.. I really believe that belongs to me this secret mission, not the perfume only.

It was worth a try!
The new fragrance from Baldessarini is hard to overlook; you inevitably stumble upon it among the Turquoises. Essentially, the perfumes of this brand are a blight, and we cannot agree with the intentions behind them. In the generation of those over 50, many have experience, developed preferences, and their own style, even in dealing with perfume. Is the hope justified that it may not succeed in lowering the taste of the silver lions to the level of the little boys? That seems to be the secret mission Baldessarini has been on for years.

Secret Mission picks up the silver lions in the same place the industry does with the younger crowd: in the shower. We have in our minds the memory of the musky synthetic scents of gels and soaps - admittedly in an attractive and exciting form. I was spontaneously reminded of the brilliant A*Men Pure Shot; perhaps both fragrances share a common ingredient. However, the direct comparison with the excellent Thierry Mugler scent reveals just how weak Secret Mission actually is. It lacks any bite; even the usually popular citrus freshness has been used excessively subtly. At first glance, it seems stylish. One feels as if they have stumbled upon a particularly pleasant shower gel, but that’s about it. After 10 minutes, a hint of spice flashes briefly, but then Secret Mission quickly dilutes into that powdery-woody base we find in so many inexpensive perfumes. What is perceptible as a subtle remnant after an hour can hardly be called a base note; it is both weak and interchangeable.

Secret Mission is a pretender, like we haven’t had in a long time: a very attractive top note, a passable middle, and pure boredom in the base. Before any potential (mis)purchase, I highly recommend comparing it with 7 de Loewe or A*Men Pure Shot, two characterful fragrances whose style I personally find adjacent to Secret Mission.

And whoosh... it was gone.
It happened that my teenage son had cracked his beautiful smartphone, and an unsightly spiderweb of cracks adorned the display. So we set off to the city - wanting to look for a suitable replacement. We like to take the train, which brings us almost exactly to our preferred shopping arcade, and the travel time is also reasonable. Despite the train drivers' strike, we were able to go - for the return trip, we had our bikes with us just in case.

With the summery weekend weather - the last chance for a summer scent - I had actually planned to thoroughly test Artisan Black by John Varvatos. Normally, I only test during the week. Out of consideration for the family, I try to keep weekends fragrance-free. But on the way to the electronics store, we unfortunately had to pass through a perfume department...

About a year ago, roughly 6 months before I joined Parfumo, I came across Secret Mission by Baldessarini. For me, it was almost a revelation. Overall, the main theme is fresh, soft, and woody. I cannot accept the occasional criticism of a soapy undertone. OK, we do have a lavender soap that emits similar notes, but I see that more as a plus for the hygiene product than something to blame on Secret Mission.

The secret mission initially feels like it starts on a massage table, one might think - alongside a fresh-citrusy note that clearly belongs to bergamot, cypress and basil are making a great effort to conceal their mission, which vaguely reminds one of a fir/pine needle component, almost like in camphor.

But wait! A teenager, on the way to the new dream phone, voluntarily lingers in a perfume department?! Yes, as sure as I sit here and write, that is what happened. We casually tried out several fragrances: for example, Pour Homme by Armani or Bvlgari. No, none of them were particularly scents for a young person. But we had to start somewhere. Then my son came around the corner with the Secret Mission bottle. Each of us got a spray on the wrist, and with a small pack of fragrance cards - all artfully bent and folded in different ways, since we obviously didn't have a pen with us - we continued on to the phone store.

What criteria my son uses to select electronic devices is a mystery - you have to let young people do their thing. Just like the Baldessarini, which strives towards its peak with lavender and rose scent, but is actually just geranium. Cardamom is bustling in the background as we already sense the slightly woody base note at the checkout. After about two hours in the mobile phone department, we had quite different motives to get home quickly. However, we skipped the shortcut through the perfume department.

Actually, we still caught our train on time - but the strike *hnn-grrr* The next connection was not in sight for the time being. So we took another deep inhale of Secret Mission, let the water bottle circulate, and launched Mission Pedalicus.

The return journey was nice, albeit somewhat hilly - road cyclists know what I mean. There were some cedars along the way, but the bison and musk oxen had already returned to the barn in good time. But this warm, occasionally slightly rosy and then again lavender wood tone accompanied us on our little tour.

The soft-woody theme runs like a red thread through the entire development. Secret Mission lasts slightly over eight hours but does not set any significant accents. The scent is relatively subtle - that is very important to my son. This EdT from Baldessarini is certainly not a stroke of genius - (more of a collection model). In any case, a nice, solid entry-level fragrance that fits perfectly for the autumn-winter season and is great for young people.

The headline almost gives it away: The bottle has moved in with me and has become the first men's fragrance in my son's possession. Mission successfully completed!

Hot Violinist
Today I tried secret Mission, and I have to give Baldessarini a thumbs up once again.

His motto is: Separates the Men from the Boys.

Although the scent has a somewhat youthful vibe, it suits grown men - perhaps with a boyish charm that one can maintain at any age.

I think of the hot violinist Garrett, who is currently playing Coldplay on YouTube.
Casually elegant - with a touch of shabby chic.

This type of man could wear secret Mission well - and I would take a second look.

The fragrance comes across as sensual yet masculine - with a delicate, mysterious sweetness.
The wearer must be interesting.
Lavender and oud give the scent calmness and depth - yes, profundity.
The cypress is green and full - the rose geranium blooms softly.
A hint of subtle eroticism.

The user of this fragrance would make my heart race - even without a violin.

Oud Undercover
I admit: the elegant black bottle with blue stripes is indeed a sight to behold. It suggests a high-quality fragrance with slight hints of freshness, if not even aquatic notes. The deception works, because in reality, Secret Mission is more of a sweet, synthetic jumble, whose cheap-looking individual components are not so easy to analyze.

Perhaps at the very beginning, one can still discern a citrus theme, but this quickly transforms into a spiciness with many partly sweet as well as slightly bitter nuances. The only thing I could somewhat pinpoint would be a hint of cardamom.

Excellently hidden - and this is not meant as a compliment in this case - is the promised oud. I also do not assume that real oud was used here, but even the little bit of synthetic oud completely gets lost. However, I can well imagine that perfume salespeople would still praise this to the highest degree - but the olfactory perception is close to zero. One could also speak of refusal to work...

Furthermore, I am surprised that this secret mission lasts only relatively briefly. Consequently, the sillage is quite close to the body, so one hardly stands out.

Secret Mission is certainly not a bad fragrance, but I am annoyed by the discrepancy between
the fragrance promise and its fulfillment, as well as the outer and inner values. If this was the mission of Mäurer & Wirtz to deceive their customers - even regarding the ingredient information - then they are on a dangerous path. It is nice that some commentators before me were able to uncover this as well - and indeed as a completely official mission!

With a 5.8, this is totally underrated here. A lovely scent for everyday use.

Beautiful packaging for an unsuccessful and failed undercover operation where oud plays absolutely no role. You can see it either way.

first fresh shower gel, then it becomes sweet and slightly spicy, and then it disappears or retreats into a secret mission...

It really has something of Oud Wood. However, the scent doesn't have anything that annoys me. I actually like it better.

It's like the perfumer with a cold tried to create a dupe of Z Zegna. Interchangeable, weak sillage. And that's the most positive thing.

Very beautiful and very appealing all-rounder, which is absolutely underrated here, fruity-spicy-woody-delicious, pathetic H/S :-(((

A really great scent, very well done, but unfortunately terrible longevity and sillage! What a shame, I would have loved to buy it again!
