Simple woody citrus scent

I got this knowing that:
A) It has cypress, a note I'm not too fond of
B) It has bitter orange, a note I'm not too fond of
C) It is similar to Terre D'Hermes

I got it because I wanted to complete the Icon collection (the original 8). I figured I might not like it, and I really don't like it that much but that's just because I dislike the notes. It's a good quality fragrance, and you will definitely enjoy it if this is your kind of thing. Prob the only one I would swap other than Oud Mosaic.

Woody, sharp, fresh, inexpensive!

Banana Republic Cypress Cedar is a new acquisition, a 2018 release from the Icon Collection, found for about $20 at Marshalls. Cypress Cedar was released alongside Linen Vetiver and Neroli Woods as the sophomore trio of releases in the collection that followed the initial quintet in 2017, and all three of these releases are very agreeable and fresh, but I’d not felt particularly inclined to acquire any until seeing CC yesterday while out shopping, so I’ll have to retry the other two.

Cypress Cedar isn’t entirely woody, as its name suggests, but there’s a relatively realistic sharpness from both woods, combined with a healthy mix of citruses and musk. It’s definitely more interesting than most freshies available at roughly the same price while still being agreeable and fresh enough to wear pretty much all the time, albeit with moderate performance.

Overall, I’d certainly recommend checking it out, particularly if you find it at a discounter for such a low price. CC is priced at $33 on FragranceNet and it’s still worthwhile at that price, but at $20, it’s really a great value.

Where is Citrus / Orange?

The scent initially smells similar to TDH, but it lacks citrus/orange and spice.
A fragrance for winter/autumn/spring.
Unfortunately, I had some sort of allergy from it (throat burns).

A quite simple, boring scent.
If you are looking for something in the direction of TDH, there are honestly many better alternatives with a significantly better price-performance ratio.

Found a summer scent! A lighter TdH in unisex! Definitely with its own accents: minty + fresh cypress! In contrast, vetiver and spice are toned down!

Refreshing cypress with a grapefruit note that reminds me of "Terre," "Green Walk," and "Cedar Atlas." Just much more subtle here. A good summer unisex.
