pretty and papery

Warm, slightly soapy florals and dry, light woods mixed in a way that somehow feels papery. It doesn't feel like old books, it's more like opening a new pack of copy paper and taking a vigorous whiff. An interesting take on a skin scent; it evokes the feel of a soft blanket, or an indie stationery shop. Also feels like smelling a thick piece of paper that was used to wrap a fancy neroli soap. It's captivating, especially sprayed on a crisp t-shirt or button down.

Exact replica of L’eau Papier

Quite frankly I’m shocked at how perfectly exact this dupe is. I got it because I liked the concept, I had no idea it was a dupe. I sprayed it for the first time tonight and thought “this smells exactly like my Diptyque L’eau Papier!!” I came here only to see that others think the same thing. If you’re looking for a replica of LP you’ve come to the right place. I suspect the projection and longevity isn’t the same but that’s a small price to pay for a perfect dupe. nGood job BBW.

The Water Paper (L'eau Papier) = Book Loft

I think some people wanted this to smell like an actual book loft without realizing the name is a nod to how this FFM dupes L'eau Papier. It is a VERY good dupe-- I have both. But there's no denying this FFM is a whisper of scent compared to the powerhouse of Diptyque's EDT. I wish BBW would create this as an EDP so we could really compare it.

I’d never leave this book loft

I can’t get enough of this scent. I have it in a lotion, body spray, candle, and wallflowers. I don’t know what it has to do with a book loft and I don’t care. It’s cozy and clean and musky. The neroli and bergamot are there but somehow don’t behave the way I’m used to them. The neroli doesn’t really smell floral and the bergamot isn’t too sharp. I’m not always a fan of citrus fragrances and can find bergamot to be overwhelming sometimes or smell of big spray. Here they’re both beautifully blended. The scent feels clean but has this fuzzy quality, like a favorite old sweater that’s been washed but is a little worn out. It’s equally as enjoyable in cool weather as it is in hot weather. If they take this away and don’t bring it back I will never shut up about it.

Editing to add that I’ve seen this compared to l’eau papier and at first I didn’t see it at all. Then I compared them side by side and now I can’t unsmell it. It’s not a perfect dupe but there is definitely a similarity and this would scratch that itch.
