Dark, boozy spiced caramel mocha
As a gourmand and white floral lover, I'm not surprised that this is my favorite by Bohoboco so far. But I was surprised by the scent itself! When I read the name Coffee White Flowers, my mind went to YSL Black Opium first, and then to Atelier Cologne Café Tuberosa. Both are scents I love, but I'm still very happy to report that this one smells like neither and is quite unique. Honestly, at this point no one needs another Black Opium dupe.
Coffee White Flowers starts boozy and bitter, but also sweet, like a coffee liqueur with molten black chocolate. There is something in it that reads as slightly savory to me. Not sure where this is coming from, but it makes the scent more interesting. Maybe it's the clove? Anyways, the overall impression is delicious to me, without being too literal and foody. I honestly can't say that I detect any specific white florals here, but there is a undefined floral undertone that rounds out the scent.
In the drydown I get more vanilla, but also rum and a touch of leather. Still with coffee.
This is a dark and cozy perfume for autumn and winter that I would definitely wear. Not sure if I will actively look for a full bottle, but only because my collection is already big enough. If I was just starting out, I surely would get one.
