A perfume with Omani lemon scent, similar to Myths by Amouage
It's a special scent. It smells like oudy, incense, with amber and a citrusy note. It's very special. While it has a cool lemony feel, it also has a warm incense feel at the same time.

it smells like Omani lemon after quarter hour, which is kind of like Myths by Amouage.

It has a nice finish notes that includes resin and labdanum, which is a little bit oudy, smoky.

From bar soap to church walls to velvet gardenia petals
Not my style, but a very interesting, contrasting scent. Thw opening comes across as old-fashioned and soapy to me. Imagine a vintage-inspired bar soap with an incense and white floral scent. At this point, the scent is floral, but doesn't smell decidedly like gardenia.
But after a while, the thick, creamy, velvety character of the flower really starts to shine. To me this is more of a frankincense than an olibanum scent. It reminds me of old stone church walls at times. But then, a moment later, it suddenly feels much warmer and more balmy. It changes all the time, while gardenia steadily lingers in the background.

I'm a bit confused about the top notes, I really don't get the summery, fresh scent one imagines from neroli, coconut and lime. Just gardenia and resins. It's more of a winter scent to me, with a bit of a retro feel to it.

It's always hard to rate a scent that is good, but not to your personal taste... I settled for a 7 because I kind of like this and enjoyed sampling, but really wouldn't want to smell like that myself.

A Gardenia on the Side Altar
I cannot explain where my fondness for incense comes from.
Even as a child, I was skeptical and critically questioned everything related to faith. Although I was once baptized as Protestant, I immediately left the church upon reaching adulthood.
I respect those who are religious, but I expect, in return, that my stance is also respected, and for this reason, I block any discussion on the topic.

What I liked as a child was the scent in Catholic churches when I entered such a building during a visit.
At some point, I was told that the fragrance came from incense.

When I discovered that there were perfumes with a distinct incense note, I was thrilled, and the foundation of my collection was laid.

Now, onto the fragrance.

The defining scent in Olibanum Gardenia is a mix of incense and labdanum. So, anyone who cannot appreciate incense can skip the test.

As a light counterbalance to what I find to be a bright, airy incense note, a finely soapy floral gardenia has been added. This ensures that the fragrance does not drift completely into the sacred.
A lack of sweetness makes this Bohoboco pleasantly wearable even in warmer temperatures.
The remaining ingredients of the fragrance do not come through for my nose. My husband, on the other hand, can clearly perceive coconut.

The longevity is good, lasting about 12 to 14 hours, and the projection is moderate. You will be noticed, but it does not flood the entire room.

If I had to describe the fragrance visually, it would be like this: A fragrant gardenia on a side altar in a Catholic church.
