Colpo di Sole Bottega Veneta 2024

A very interesting opening. Green and creamy. The journey to the dry-down is also odd, somehow the neroli is slightly sharp, and smelling it made me feel like I'm chewing on pearls :D It's hard to explain, but it's a textured neroli scent. Or maybe it's just me :D Either way, it's definitely a summer perfume, and I agree that it gives off a fancy resort vibes. However, the longevity is, I'd say, average at best, and considering the price, this fragrance is not really worth it. Although the bottle is pretty, and it is definitely a memorable neroli perfume.

Let me start with, this is the most beautiful bottle in my collection. My husband has BV Hinoki and they are pieces of artwork. The scent is also beautiful. I worried that when committing to this type of luxury fragrance, I would regret it as I was exposed to more. I do not. This fragrance is the epitome of the version of myself I would like to be. Beautiful, understated, elegant, with a little bit of a bite. This fits beautifully during a warm weather outdoor event, it doesn't read as vacation/sunscreen to me. I get a little bit of vegetal sharpness with the citrus, but then it rounds out to the dry floral with a green undertone and musky base. In my collection, I will wear Torino 24 (or steal my husbands French Riveria) if i want vacation in a bottle, over this one. My only real complaint is that is doesn't last as long as I would like. I started getting into playing with Cetalox/Iso-E super/Ambroxan primarily to extend the life of this fragrance. As a note, as much as I love it, this is one that feels like a fragrance "for me." I rarely get comments when I wear it, likely because of the performance and the utility (outdoor events) but I am looking to incorporate it in different situations as the weather cools a little. It is worth sampling for yourself!
