A Beautiful and Affordable Scent to Play a Supporting Character in Your Collection
Initial impressions are spicy, with the natural sweetness of flowers. The scent seems very well 'mixed', without individual discernible notes. Sort of smoothly spicy, with an overall impression of a nice, subtle and mature fragrance. It smells like I should be wearing a velvet dress, with my hair up, and sitting down at a nice restaurant for a date.

After five or so minutes, the spices face away and the flowers come to the forefront.

After an hour or so, it felt like the flowers intensified.

Some of my favorite scents are upfront and demand attention. YSL's Opium definitely inspires one to think 'what are you wearing?' upon notice. A scent like YSL Opium or Guerlain's Mitsouko or Mugler's Alien demand to be the star of the show. Boucheron feels like a gentle background color. It enhances the scene in the front, but doesn't distract enough to draw attention to itself.

At the current affordable 2023 price point, Boucheron is also a fragrance that can be worn freely without financial stress or feeling that it must be saved for a special occasion.

One of my favourite perfumes
I first wrote my review at the page for the older version, so I deleted that one and here is my review for this (current) version:
Boucheron is in my collection for quite some time now and she's one of my favourite perfumes.
Batchcode of my latest bottle says it is from Juli 2022. I remember how the original smelled and don't find it too different, maybe even a bit more wearable, a bit less bold (but still strong!).
I find this perfume uplifting, bright and warm at the same time and a little sexy, but in an innocent, almost unintentional way asif she just can't help herself.
No use pointing out the notes here, I think. There are so many! And they can act in verious ways, depending on mood, weather and occasion, but they all are noticable when you search for them and they always compliment eachother.
In summer, I get most of her eastern vibes, she seems a bit brighter and at the same time intriguing then. I also get a slight 'bubble gummy' vibe in summer. In winter she is more warm (asif the top- and middle notes perform best in warm weather and the middle- and base notes perform best in colder weather).
Boucheron smells far more expensive than what you pay for it, it's almost insulting to pay so little for such good quality! I payed a little less than 40 euro's for a 100 ml bottle and a little goes a long, long way!
Performance is very good! Both sillage and longevity are excellent!
My boyfriend loves it when I wear this!

Edit: To bad...I wore this latest bottle the other day and it is less good than my former bottles, which also were reformulations and were great and in the same bottle, but my latest bottle is different in the drydown unfortunately...

Edit II Lesson learned: Don't try too many scents at a time, which is probably why I perceived Boucheron the way I did above...tried it again today and it is still lovely.

The cuddly shell scent

Boucheron is a fragrance to love! And if a woman has no corresponding counterpart, then she just loves herself and throws herself into her self-knitted sweater made of alpaca wool, because Boucheron is just as soft and warming.

I'm going to do some poetry: I am, after all, emasculated (read: divorced) so I have no counterpart. Summ..... I also do not need I just enjoy the Boucheron for me alone with candlelight and good wine, hum

Not that you think I have swallowed a few colorful pills.

Yes, the Medüse has taken on a cuddly scent and for once deviated from her rude chypres

To the house of Boucheron, I have a primal trust, so to speak. You better not let me down, or I'll kick your ass! Or I stare at you and what happens then is very unhealthy and worse than Corona!

Boucheron starts with a creamy mandarin souffle, carried by dreamlike orange blossoms.I once had orange trees as potted plants, so I know how they smell. Ylang ylang provides me with a tropical, sweet scent. I'm sure everyone has smelled a jasmine bush at some point, unless they live in a big city and are half-dead from smog. The tuberose is finely woven and I'm learning to love it more and more (not only at Boucheron).

A nice whale still donated a bit of amber, which makes the drydown even creamier. Do you actually know what is in Walkotze everything? It's not really tasty. Today ambergris is produced synthetically or (in rare cases) collected when it washes up on the beach somewhere. Well, no one can keep a sperm whale fortunately.

But back to the scent. I'm not a marine biologist.

The "old" Parfumas and - mos will now fall from the faith. The Chypredüse, which always rumkräht when she discovered a Chypre buys a lovely cuddly fragrance?
I do not tolerate any backtalk, otherwise I look at you times sharply! You know what happens then.....

P.S. Here is no photo of the fragrance, but the bottle looks like that of the EdT on the Boucheron page.

I used to wear the original version of this in the 80s and 90s, and I really liked it. Thought I'd try out the new version & I still like it
