Dynamic feminity

A deep pink silhouette, a weird irregular shape, a flowery and light bouquet: this is Bruno Banani Pure Woman.
In fact, there's something very similar to the more famous and expensive Very Irresistible by Givenchy .
Anyway, this scent has its own character, Young and dynamic, fresh, daily and easy to wear but sexy and feminine at the same time. It could be an office scent for is light and inoffesnive sillage as well as a pleasant leisure fragrance to wear in spring -summer mainly by day or (why not?) in the hottest nights with a casual outfit.
But let's smell: first of all, you are involved in a fruity-flowery fresh cloud made of freesia and berries with a very energizing effect. Then, you smell the warmer vanilla notes, just suggested and not at all sweetish, but just giving a more sensual character to this "pink summer cocktail".
Unfortunately, the sillage is quite weak and you have to spray many times the scent if you want a longlasting result. The size too is available only as 40ml bottle . The price is affordable . Give a chance to this young creation and set your pink side free!

Sweet and sticky? Not at all for me.

When I read in the comments that "Pure Woman" is supposed to be so sweet and sticky, I was really surprised. On my skin, this fragrance develops quite differently. It starts floral and fresh, not sweet at all. After about 1 hour, the scent becomes a bit warmer and softer. Still, it doesn't become extremely sweet. The relatively zesty floral notes remain in the foreground. Personally, I really like this scent, as it comes across on me not sweet and fruity, but floral, lightly zesty, and velvety soft. I can detect a rose aroma and right after spraying, a very light berry note. After a while, I also perceive the vanilla, but not as sweet, rather warm and soft. I really enjoy the scent and find it suitable for everyday wear and elegant - on me.

A Youthful Fragrance

This scent accompanied me in my late youth whenever I couldn't afford Touch of Pink by Lacoste. :D Back then, it suited me very well. I still have it in my closet, haven't touched it in years.
It's very interesting how differently the skin and nose of various people perceive a fragrance. This one comes across as floral sweet on me, with a lot of freesia and violet, just a hint of citrus. After a while, the scent becomes creamier and closer to the skin, which can probably be attributed to the vanilla. A warm, floral spring fragrance that, however, seems quite synthetic to more experienced noses.
For a drugstore fragrance, it lasts relatively long at 3-4 hours.
Wearable from 15 to a maximum of 25. After that, it might be time to become a bit more mature and do your own thing, whatever that may be. :)

Bruno... not at all banal

While many companies, including drugstore fragrances, have changed for the worse lately, Bruno Banani has positively evolved. Once dismissed as a teenage scent, the brand has been maturing for about a year now and is no longer banal.

It may not be enough for the upper class, and you won't find niche or hyped fragrances here, but there are very good scents with a certain something. The heavy hitters, who usually gravitate towards a trail like "Alien (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler," "Angel (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler," or intense vanilla and coconut scents, might not quite connect here.

Absolute Woman Eau de Toilette successfully joined my collection last year, and I’m still grappling with this year's newcomer. I’m doing a daisy oracle.

Now, moving on to Pure Woman. It has been on the market for 18 years and is thus of legal age ;) For a long time, it was a teenage scent for me, and I happened to test it just the other day. The fragrance has matured.

It starts off floral and delicate like a candy, but fresher due to tangerine, and the blackcurrant adds a certain bitterness. It resembles cyclamen but also lily of the valley, and with peony and a hint of mango, it is very harmonious. Amber and vanilla in the dry down provide a floral, powdery finish. Finally, a scent without musk, which I no longer like that much. Neither cloyingly sweet nor overly fruity or synthetic. Longevity is about 5 hours, and it envelops you in a floral cloud that gradually weakens. Price/performance is excellent, especially when on sale. The bottle also doesn’t have the tip that tends to dig into your bag lining.

It’s a go-to for the warm season. You stand out pleasantly and subtly with it, as Pure Woman is not a loud, explosive fragrance.

Your own fault

During my obligatory DM shopping trip, I dared to try my first BB test of my life today. And of course, I was punished!!!
Pure Woman comes across as fresh and fruity and develops quite nicely in the heart note. Vanilla comes through a bit with the fruits, and the scent is now sweet. Not bad at all, I thought to myself. Unfortunately, this niceness lasts barely an hour before making way for the typically scratchy, unpleasant synthetic base that all the more affordable fragrances seem to have. Yuck! Very penetrating and a headache inducer per se.
I almost expected that, I just wanted to play around. After several washes and scrubbing with a Love Shack-soaked cotton ball, this penetrating stench was finally masked enough for me to tolerate it.
Maybe the stuff gets better if you keep spraying it on. However, I won't take that risk.
